I and my friends tried their special Assamese duck thali. The taste was good especially the komora style duck curry. It was simple yet delicious with not too much spices. All the items were well prepared. However they didn't serve kheer which came with the thali. It was a little disappointing. The lady in the counter was friendly and cooperative. We enjoyed the food and shall recommend this place to others.

i ordered veg thali, no sweet (kheer) given but it was mentioned in the menu. also ordered smoked pork with bamboo shoot gravy , the pork was chewy and not cooked properly, the gravy was not at all eatable. I told the waiter about this they donot bother to take any action neither do they replace it nor they have given a discount. Dal and other items in the veg thali were tasting good. Duck curry with till was also tasting good although duck quantity would have been better with respect to price. ambience was good, staff were polite. Overall i would say food wise not a very good experience. Hope these are taken care off.

Authentic food from North East of India. Excellent flavours and everything is made to order. The service was great and they took time to suggest what's best and it turned out to be amazing. Was a wonderful experience and I'm happy to have had lunch here. Must try in this city!

This Assamese inspired North Eastern restaurant offers varieties of traditional food items that will satisfy your taste buds. I personally had Traditional Fish thaali, which contains 2 to 3 types of sabji, rice, 2 types of daals, pitika and fish curry 🍛, finishing with a kheer. All the items are very delicious 😋. The prices are on a higher side, which I find quite on the upper side as compared to other traditional restaurants. At last a promising start up restaurant that has the potential to be even better.

Here ,you can find delicious Assamese food including thali items containing pork, chicken, duck, fish etc. Size of the place is relatively small with respect to other counterparts. Behaviour of staff is pleasant. Cost per person can be INR 450-500/- if non veg thali is opted as on April 2024.

Very good restaurant to have authentic Assamese meals. They offer both veg and non-vegetarian meals. The restaurant is very asthetically designed to give you a true cultural feels. Overall a great experience. The cost is also not much. You get value for money.

PS: Review edited and downgraded to 1 ⭐ from 3 ⭐ after seeing restaurant response to my extremely generous review Reviewing a place after you have had a bad experience is not easy. While there is always the possibility that the restaurant is usually better than this and I was unlucky to have a bad experience, what does not change is that my experience was bad and even after there was scope for the restaurant to rectify their mistake, they did not do that. I asked for a pork mini thali of Rs. 300 (which on the menu, showed smoked pork as part of the thali) and goroi masor pitika. I had to wait for 36 minutes for this simple order, in which the thali had only one pork curry, bhindi fry, rice and dal. This is the maximum time I have ever waited for a thali in any restaurant in Guwahati. Instead of smoked pork, there was just plain pork curry. I was then informed that I was supposed to choose while ordering. When I pointed out it was my first visit and it was the duty of the server to ask me which item I wanted as part of the thali, she continued to argue with me. The goroi pitika (Rs. 200) is so less that it is not even enough for one person. At that point I decided not to complain anymore and just eat as soon as possible and leave. The restaurant did apologise but never offered a discount or additional items as compensation. Clearly, it is a popular place and hence they don't care if they lose one customer. They have definitely lost me as a customer. The food is very ordinary, extremely overpriced and there is music playing so loud that the tables vibrate. If you prefer a place like this, then please do visit. For me, the first time was the last time.
