Bhut Jolokia

Had a disappointing dinner on 19 November 2024. Our hotel F&B staff recommended it and we were enthusiastic to taste an Assamese thali. We ordered a vegetarian one with a plate of fried fish. The thali was COLD and pretty tasteless. The fish was hot & tasty. We ordered a second plate of fish and that came half cooked. Can’t understand why the kitchen staff could not serve a hot meal considering we were the only customers there!

Loved the thali there and the haahor mankho( duck curry). The vibe of the place is also quite good. Had a good experience overall.

The food was good but not up to expectation. Had duck meat fry last time which was less in amount. The whole plate was filled up with onions. I hope they would increase the amount a little bit or work more on their taste.

The items offered in the thali were not that great. Basic items like papad and pickle was missing, the taste of the items was good but the items were very basic. Assamese Thali has a lot of variety which was missing and I felt the items to ve over-priced.

Visit after a long time but found the food quality better than before. Pork with sesame and Mutton fry was good. But they don't accept any card payment which is very disappointment. After all I am giving 3 star.

As soon as we entered, we couldn't help but get the smell of urine. We went there as we saw the discount available on Thali but as we arrived they changed the offer and didn't give us any discount. Now coming to the food, never saw such small pieces of chicken in my whole life. Charged us money in full but the quantity was so less. The manager also behaved very rudely with us when we asked him to change one dish. We said we would pay but still he argued with us. Never going back to that place and I suggest the owner to learn some ethics if he wants to continue his business. Properly train the staff and the cook.

Rest room Neat and clean... If you are habitual with comfortable rest room sorry boss...it is congested... I have ordered non veg akhaj with pork and pork with Lai patta ( vegetable mustard) but they have served me only pork with vegetable mustard After that I have changed my order non veg akhaj with fish... With pork lai patta... Pork with lai patta not up to the mark... Fish with tenga (sour) also okay okay type... Need to be improve in service... Service boy is not listening to guest properly...by the time of order.... I don't wanna try next time.....

The place is well lit. Its easily noticeable from the road side. Located convenientlynear the Guwahati address at Zoo tiniali, its a place you should try once. The food is served in bell metal plates "kaahor kahi". There is a variety of items too choose from including duck meat. The food is prepared and garnished well...but can be done better. The interior is classy. Photos of rural life is being hanged in the walls. You can certainly try it once.
