Jutire Akhaj Restaurant

After we returned to our Airbnb accommodation at Christian Basti in the heart of Guwahati yesterday (Sunday – June 22, 2025), my partner and I were hungry, and we had to arrange for our dinner. Instead of going out, we chose the easier option – that of ordering on Zomato. After a careful scanning of the available options, we ordered from this place called Jutire Akhaj Restaurant, which is located at Beltola. We selected this restaurant as we wanted to have some fish, and this restaurant seemed like the best bet. We ordered one (1) plate of Plain Dal, one (1) plate of Bhagan Fish Curry, two (2) plates of Steamed Rice, and one (1) plate of Pabda Fish Curry. All the items were tasty, fresh, and very light. We had a hearty dinner. We shall definitely consider re-ordering from this place should the necessity so arise!

A true Assamese food experience, this place was recommended by a friend and safe to say they became a better friend after that. I had the mutton thali, that included 3 different potato preparations, 2 vegetable preparations, 2 chutneys, and papad. The mutton was good in quantity, extremely succulent, and mind-blowingly fresh. Loved the meal and highly recommend it to people. Parking is generally available on the main road the restaurant is located at.

Delicious and local food with great taste. More than 10 times ordered from this restaurant amd everytime, the taste of food has given me extra energy 😊. Highly recommended, budget friendly, kids friendly also. Black dal and "KHAR" are two items for which I especially preferred for meals.

Very delicious food, I have ordered from zomato recently, the food was just pure and healthy ofcourse tasty, very good packaging also. I loved it so much that I am planning to reorder soemtime.For me it's is 10/10

I ordered a momo plate and packed pork with til. The momo plate was good. However, after coming home and opening the pork, i was utterly disappointed, the taste of til was awful, i myself who is a beginner at cooking can cook a more tasty pork with til than them, the pieces they gave was really bad, they gave one big piece of fats which was not eatable. Please do not have pork from this restaurant, it’s for your own good.

We have orders chicken thali and we have requested that we don't want rice instant of that give 2/3 Chapati only ....and we got nothing...when we called he said we have no man Power to make Chapati...like what? just total unprofessional... worst experience ever...i recommend not to order from this scam restuarant

It’s a scam restaurant, Ordered food from Zomato and paid online, but it wasn’t delivered. The app showed the status as arriving and I waited for a delivery call that never came. Instead the ordered was canceled after few mins without any notification. When I tried to reach out to support team they were impolite and refused to provide refund or details abt the delivery agent.

Probably the most unpretentious restaurant to have superb authentic Assamese thali. The place is basic, but clean. Food is served hot and very tasty. No wonder hundreds of their meals go out with Zomato etc. There also enough road side parking slots for cars and bikes.
