We ordered Assamese Thali , Chicken Khorika and Rice. Ambience is good for all types of crowd. Staffs are polite. All items are tasty. Quantity of food can be improved compared to price

Worst Assamese restaurant experience. Not recommended. We are a family of four and went to Khorikaa for lunch. Before going, I tried to contact them on the WhatsApp number they display, but it did not work. I do not understand why they keep a non-functional contact number. We ordered one veg thali and one paneer thali for two people, and for the other two we ordered Joha rice, black dal, elephant apple (ou tenga), gorol fish pitika, banana flower fry, chicken khorikaa, brinjal fry, and bahu fish fry. Service was extremely poor. They did not even provide glasses for drinking water and instead served Bisleri bottles, which we had to pay for. This clearly felt like a business tactic rather than basic hospitality. The staff seemed confused about our order. When we ordered items other than the thali, they had to call their seniors. Two senior staff members came to ask again about the items. After serving the two thalis, they took another 30 minutes to serve the remaining food. On the same table, two people finished their meal while the other two were still waiting for food. Completely unacceptable service flow. The food quality was the worst part. The chicken and bahu fish were of very poor quality. The chicken was so hard that I could not even take a proper bite. I asked the staff to taste it themselves. They could not chew it either. They replaced the plate, but the second serving was equally inedible. Cleanliness was horrible. The place was dirty and poorly maintained. I am adding photos to show the actual condition. Although the staff apologized, apologies do not fix such fundamental issues with food quality, hygiene, and service. This was the worst Assamese restaurant experience for us. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Best place to have Assamese thali, nxt time i will try non veg. This time i only had veg. Food was really very tasty. Staff is good, polite. I liked every single dish in thali. Roti is nt included in thali i ordered separate. Roti does not required in thali.

A plate of vegetarian thali costs Rs 250 at Kharika. The price is high compared to the quantity and quality of the plate. The hotel does not have any items like fish sauce, mustard sauce etc. But the Bhogdoi Restaurant gives various items with veg thali at Rs 210. I would prefer Bhogdoi to Kharika in terms of veg thali.

Very good food at a good ambience. One can find authentic Assamese food here. The staffs are cordial and supportive. Food quality and quantity both are great. Price is reasonable as per standard

The whole experience was disappointing because considering the amount they charge, the taste was below average. They need to upgrade the taste. Only the Pork Dry Fry was good that too didn’t justify its price. I know the high charges are due to the location but at least the taste should be enhanced. Duck Curry with Gourd was just “good” and so was Pork with bamboo shoot. Points where it is recommendable: 1) The location obviously —easily searchable. 2) The sitting space is huge and rush is less. 3) Service was decent too.

The authenticity of the cuisine really stood out. From their thalis to regional specialities, they bring out the true flavour of Assamese food in a very welcome way. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting. It doesn’t feel overly pretentious, yet gives you a pleasant dining environment to enjoy your food. Service was friendly and staff attentive.

Good restaurant to dine with family and friends. The flavours are authentic, the dishes are not spicy and the tase e balanced. Even the kids can easily eat these dishes. On Sundays the waiting time would be a bit longer than usual.
