Just discovered this ‘Local Foods’ and their menu was just a WOW. A variety of choices for non-vegetarians like us with options of Chicken and Pork, both available. Some popular dishes include, ‘Galho with Smoked Pork’, with option of ‘Chicken’ also in the same item. I ordered the ‘Sliced Pork Belly with Sticky Rice’, one of the two 400 Rs plus dishes with a hope that it will be authentic and culinary delight and was truly happy and satisfied. It is a must from my side. For vegetarians, ‘Komol Saul fried rice’ is a different choice as it s not generally available. My Rating: Local Foods, City Center, 3rd Floor, Guwahati a must try for pork lovers.

This is the second time i’m facing with this blunder of a recklessness from “local foods” . The first time was when i found a piece of what seemed to be like a strand of dish washing steel whool. But this time they have crossed the limits I literally found a tiny cockroach in my food!!! I’m posting a photographic proof along with the bill of the day. I’m posting this here so the people at local foods know better than to serve insect to their customers!!!

One of my favourite food counters whenever i crave for ethnic local foods. Try their smoked pork ghalo..people from Nagaland will definitely know..the taste is very authentic. It reminds me of my school days(our school canteen). Also their pork fried rice is so yumm.👍🏻

Disappointing Experience at Local Food City Center - Avoid the Naga Thali. Today I visited Local Food at City Center, Guwahati eager to try their Naga Thali, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The dish was a far cry from the authentic flavors and spices I've come to expect from Naga cuisine. Overall, I would not recommend Local Food City Center's Naga Thali to anyone. It's a waste of time and money. If you're craving authentic Naga cuisine, look elsewhere.

Had lunch over here several times and the naga thali and tohan mosdeng were top notch. The bamboo shoot curry included in the thali was amazing. Wait time is around 20 minutes most of the time, which is a bit more than the other food court outlets, but it's definitely worth it.

I liked the few times I had food at this eatery. Courteous folks running the place. I have only tried momo so far, and it has tasted good. It is reasonably priced for a mall food court. One of my friends tried the Naga Pork Biryani and enjoyed it! Recommended. 👍

Had this absolutely pathetic sticky rice and chicken liver combo. I was expecting the livers to be a little more friend instead of the dry gravy. Also, look at the portion?! I think the staff needs to inform the customers regarding the portion and the taste, that’s the least one can expect at this price point. Been a fan of their of Komal Saul and Smoked a pork, thought of trying something new and got really disappointed.

Love the mixed fried rice there, priced at around Rs 320. The taste is good, quantity is good enough for 1 persone.
