Maihang

Went to Maihang to try the ethnic thalis here. I would say the food is average. The ambience is nice but the staff should be nore accessible. Had the chicken thali(both broiler and local) and the fish thali and the items were average at most. Compared to other ethnic restaurants, Maihang needs to uplift the food quality. Overall a one time go out option for me

This was the second time that I visited this Assamese ethnic restaurant. Both the times the food was really nice. I ordered maihang duck thali that offered items such as plain rice, yellow daal, black daal, aloo pitika, brinjal fry, guti aloo bhaji, xaak, khaar, fish pitika, salad, chutney, duck curry, duck fry and kheer. I really liked the duck fry, khaar and kheer. It was so good for the taste buds. Really a good place to try authentic Assamese ethnic food. The ambience was also good. Definitely it was worth the visit.

Had the Chicken thali which was scrumptious and very filling. The chicken was soft and juicy, sides were lip smacking especially the khorisa and dry fish achaar. Also had the mua maas fry which was crisp and perfectly cooked. Asked the staff to give only fat pieces in the pork fry which they readily complied. Dessert they gave us Paayox with grated coconut as part of the thali which was sweet and piping hot. Loved it!

Just loved the resturant. Food, ambience, staffs, service all 10/10. We tried the authentic thalis. Our tastebuds felt the happiest here. Thank you Maihang

Food served here is fresh n authentic in taste. Local ethnic food is mainly served here. Thali Prices are little bit on higher side but once you finished ur lunch/dinner u will realise the expenses restaurant has to bear to preapare the items.

The price they charge compared to that the quality of food is very average. The waiters are clueless about the menu, you have to repeat the order multiple times. Also, very slow service. We couldn't eat the whole thing, so told them to pack the chicken and the pork as we didn't want to waste food. After reaching home when we checked, the pork was missing, instead they gave two containers of rice instead. I guess the waiters have a hearing issue. They should get their ears checked. Also, the atmosphere is full of mosquitoes. The washroom stinks. Overall very unpleasant experience.

Pros: Awesome Food, Excellent Staff behaviour, Reasonable Price. Cons: Uncleaned stinky bathroom, tables are not cleaned from dust and walls are Dirty. Overall: Good Food for sure and budget friendly. But management needs to maintain the place in terms of cleanliness.
