Being an ardent fan of the smoked meat especially smoked pork, I always look forward to exploring new places to eat/order from. 'Meat In the Pit,' has surpassed all my expectations. First of all the delivery was super quick & without any glitch. The meat is exactly the way it is described - 'Gehra Lokal.' It is super succulent and the smokiness could be felt even before it went in the pan for some light sautéing. Once it was plated, I couldn't stop devouring the whole thing or let's just say it was gluttony at it's best. Kudos to the owners who went that extra mile to not only provide a seamless experience to someone ordering for the first time but also ensured that quick and easy recipes were provided proactively, to enrich the experience even further. For working professionals like me and with a toddler in tow, time-management is always a matter of concern. Meat In the Pit is the best solution when you'd want a quick-fix home-cooked meal or even that last minute snack during a weekend get-together with family or friends. Well done!

Packaging , Quality and Taste of food All 5 stars.. Their packaging definitely sets them above many other.. and the best food joint around Panjabari for smoked items.. Just too Good. Texas Burger is another amazing item from here.

This was my 1st purchase of smoked chicken from "Meat in the Pit"and have stand on all my expectations.Firstly inspite of bad weather they have delivered on time.The smoked chicken was so tender, flavourful n it was so properly smoked as described "gehra local".I cooked the chicken in a traditional way n it was super yummy.It is so easy to cook n it hardly takes 10 minutes.i enjoyed my dinner to the fullest. Thanks to Meat in the pit team for starting something new like this in Guwahati..well done guys...I'll keep ordering n recommend my friends..

I’ve always been a fan of pork. This was the first purchase from my beloved school friend’s meat shop and to be really honest the taste was amazing when I cooked it. My entire family loved it. Fresh and great flavour ! Ps : uf course I’m going to purchase more ;) duh

If you want the best smoked meat in the city, Meat in the Pit is the one for you! The chicken is not only super tender, juicy and smoky in a unique way which is assured to make you smack your lips, the packaging is very hygienic and products affordably priced that are great value for money. I had absolutely zero issues with the smoked chicken I ordered. I am already looking forward to ordering from them again experimenting with different recipes. Can't get their taste out of my head!

Tried the Smoked Pork dry fry, smoked chicken roll and smoked chicken chow. Pork was rough. Not succulent as inferred . It was like chewing leather. I get that it is smoked pork however I have had better, much better. There was a distinct kerosene odour on the food. Smoked meat Noodles and roll, not for me. I feel a lot of the reviews are hype, some may be genuine. But this is what I feel. May be the place had an *off* day and we were unlucky enough to visit on that day.
