During our stay at the Wood Hotel, we dined at the restaurant seven times — and each visit was exceptional. From the outset, the staff impressed us not just with their professionalism, but with their genuine warmth and camaraderie. You could hear their laughter, see how they supported one another, and feel the welcoming atmosphere they created together. It made every meal more enjoyable — like being part of something rather than just dining out. A heartfelt thank-you to Fawaz, who took outstanding care of us throughout our many meals. His thoughtful, attentive service and personal touch elevated our experience, and his local restaurant recommendations — including a memorable visit by boat to Anøy Brygge — added a wonderful dimension to our stay. The coordination among the restaurant staff was seamless, yet each person brought their own personality and flair. What stood out most was the chef’s adaptability. One night, after casually mentioning we were in the mood for a burger, the kitchen transformed their steak tartare into a gourmet American-style burger — twice, and each version was creative and absolutely delicious. It’s rare to see that kind of flexibility and creativity combined with such high quality. Evenings at the bar were a ritual: sipping inventive cocktails while watching the sun set over the lake — an experience as stunning as the view itself. In addition to the wonderful food and drink, the overall hotel atmosphere made the restaurant feel like an extension of a larger, deeply welcoming community. The lady at the coffee shop even greeted our dog, Blue, each morning with a cuddle and concern for his healing nail — a small gesture that meant a lot. Dining at the Wood Hotel’s restaurant wasn’t just a convenience — it became a highlight of our trip. We looked forward to every meal, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

We stayed one night at the Aurora Hut at Attme Have in January. It was a wonderful experience. From the cabin we saw the Nothern Lights and stars. We booked a sauna and cooked a meal in the grill hut. Tom responded really quickly and helped us with questions we had. Would definitely recommend staying here! It was a three our drive from Tromso, great roads.

The food was really not good. The ingredients super fresh but the sauces either too sour or way too salty! the service was an utter chaos!! Poorly skilled staff, no questions how the food is, the drinks are just placed on the table and not poured in the glass and based on my gluten and chocolate allergy I was told sorry no dessert for you. From such a high class restaurant I would expect more! The sunset was amazing!!! But half way through the sunset they just put the blinds down at the window leaving a lot of guests confused and with head shaking because all the view and sun was gone and covered with blinds… if you want a great view this is amazing, for good food and reasonable prices and good service go elsewhere.

The food was ok, but pricy. The staff was s bit baffled and unprepared. What about telling a bit about the food? The meny is limited, not s lot to choose from. However, the scenery is amazing, so it is worth the visit.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and every dish was beautifully prepared. Waiter Mauricio, was exceptional - attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
