The Beer Cafe, Guwahati

This is the second time I visited this cafe with family. The first time I did so I had a pleasant experience. This time however I had a sour experience. The adjacent table to our's had a party going on and hence the staff were fully engaged with them. This led to us being ignored and we had to shout out to them to attend to us. The TBC fried chicken (best seller as mentioned by them) was good and tasty. The loaded chicken pizza was also good. The quantity of the plain rice and chicken biryani however was very dismal as the quantity was very less for the price paid. The chicken biryani was in fact the worst I had ever had. The dal makhani was ok but again the quantity was very dismal. The 5 mug pitcher was a complete waste as the beer tasted as if it had been mixed with something just for profit and hence the taste was substandard and below expectation. The main reason for my 1 star review is due to the taxes and service charge which they levied. There was GST, VAT and the 10% service charge (optional). Felt like they bombarded me with all these charges just to increase the final bill. While I understand the GST levied, I couldn't understand why there was VAT and the service charge. The service provided was pathetic and we had to literally call out to the staff to place our order and any requirements which we had. This clearly did not justify the 10% service charge in any way. As we were in a hurry, I did not get time to check the break-up of the bill and hence paid the complete amount without checking it. While the error was on my part, I did not expect this to happen as I had visited this place once before and did not face any such issues. I felt the cafe completely took advantage of me and made me pay the unnecessary 10% service charge when service provided was not at all decent. This is a warning to all future customers at this place to kindly check the bill thoroughly before paying to avoid being charge a bomb. Will definitely not visit this place anymore after this harrowing experience.

Excellent service. Best in Guwahati. Food is delicious. Drinks are good both cocktail & mocktail. Ambience is beautiful. Reasonable prices. Parking available. Recommended

We visited this place around 11:10 PM, even though they normally close by 12 AM. Still, they welcomed us with a warm smile and didn’t rush us at all. They gave us enough time to enjoy our food comfortably, which honestly impressed me a lot. The staff were extremely supportive and polite, making sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was really nice too calm, cozy, and perfect for a late night meal. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly appreciate their hospitality and service.

I had a wonderful experience visiting this place on New Year's Eve! The atmosphere was vibrant and perfect for the occasion. I want to give a special mention to Mr. Kumud Barman for his exceptional behavior. His hospitality and professional yet warm conduct made our visit truly memorable. It's rare to find such dedicated staff who go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great time, especially during such a busy night.

The vibe here is immaculate, specially if you are visiting after 6pm, just make sure to book a table in advance and you are here for pretty good time. The staff is amazingly helpful, food is pretty good for the price, best if you are visiting in groups. Totally worth it, highly recommended

I have visited this place quite a few times and tbh their service and food has never disappointed me. Today as well d service was quick n so does d food. Their tbc fried chicken n pizzas are a must try. The crunch and crispy outer cover and the tender and juicy inside infused with balance flavours of thr TBC fried chicken is a win win for d palate. And special mention is Latu Saikia, I appreciate the way he attended to our requests. He is indeed providing a good service. Over

Beer was fine but staff kinda slow. View is good and seats pretty comfy. Overall a nice experience but nothing special. They don‘t offer free samples on beer although they charge a premium.

I recently visited The Beer Café, and I had an amazing experience! The vibe of the place was absolutely lovely, with a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. What truly made my experience stand out, however, was the awesome service provided by our waiter. He was attentive, warm, welcoming, and wonderful. Bhudev, in particular, was fantastic - he made me and my family special with his excellent service.
