"This restaurant serves pretty good Assamese or Bodo cuisine. They have quite a few interesting or unique dishes like snails and silkworms. The staff members are quite friendly and interactive but are quite busy. The ambience is simple and minimalistic. Prices are reasonable." Food: I ordered Silkworms Fry, Veg. Bodo Thali, Prawn Chutney, and Plain Narji. Silkworms Fry (Pupa or Larva Fry): They are called Polu in their language. They were delicious. I did not expect them to taste that good. They were nutty and had a nice fluffy bite to them. A must-have dish here! I recommend this dish. Bodo Veg. Thali: Simple, comforting, and homely. Comes with rice, onla (rice flour and khar where khar is an alkaline extract, it tastes like baking soda), dal, veggies, and other sides. Very fulfilling. Plain Narji: Basically cooked jute leaves and Khar. Quite bitter. Best had in smaller quantities with rice. I also tried to get their Snails Fry but it was not available or feasible on that day. Apart from these, they have local duck, smoked pork dishes, and crab as well. One should keep in mind that some dishes are seasonal. For example, elephant apple chutney was not available (not in season apparently) at the time of my visit. Service: The staff members are friendly and helpful. They cleared all my queries and helped me with the menu. However, they are quite busy and have less time to interact with the customers. Atmosphere: Very simple and minimalistic. Overall, an interesting place if you are into Assamese or North-eastern foods in general. If you are into unique foods like snails and silkworms, then this is a lovely restaurant for you in Guwahati.

For best dining experience will suggest heading to the restaurant. Good food but prices are on the higher side, so maybe not your everyday eating joint. Only road side parking.

Small place but extraordinarily good. Variety of dishes available here, If you are craving for some traditional Assamese or Naga food then you should visit here. I tried silk worm fry which was unique and good apart from that pork and duck is their speciality. Humble and helpful staff, they have a washroom on the property and can accommodate around 20 customers ( i guess).

Tucked away in a small yet welcoming space, ZARWO – The Bodo Kitchen is an absolute delight for those craving authentic Assamese and Naga flavors. Despite its modest size, this place delivers an extraordinary dining experience with its rich variety of traditional dishes. If you are a fan of duck and pork specialties, this place should be on your must-visit list. The flavors are bold, the ingredients fresh, and the preparation stays true to its cultural roots. Whether it’s a classic smoked pork dish or a well-spiced duck curry, every bite reflects the essence of traditional Bodo, Assamese, and Naga cuisine. The restaurant can comfortably accommodate around 20 customers, making it a cozy and intimate space to enjoy your meal. The staff is incredibly humble and helpful, adding to the overall warmth of the experience. A washroom is available on the premises, ensuring convenience for guests. If you’re in the mood to explore the diverse and rich flavors of the Northeast, ZARWO – The Bodo Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!

Delicious Food. Chicken, Pork, snail and all sorts of ethnic Boro food items are available here. It's all delicious. But I think the price is little high. Yet, the good thing is, you can eat till you're full and no extra charge on the added rice or curry, etc will be added. The service is great! The staff is very hospitable.

I ordered pork thali. Taste-wise i Didn’t like the food. I felt at least the chutneys should have been improved. They should have added some tangy chutneys.
