The Whiskey Bar & Grill

A bar cum restaurant in Tarun Nagar, Zoo road. Booked a table for 5 at 10 pm through District with a booking fees of Rs. 50 through which we were about to avail 25% off on our final bill. For starters, we tried the following: • Cajun potato wedges for Rs. 270 • Black bean pork for Rs. 330 • Fish & chips for Rs. 340 • Barbeque wings for Rs. 329 • Barbeque chicken Pizza for Rs. 450 For drinks we opted for Kingfisher ultra and a glass of Jacob's red wine. Since we booked through app, beer towers were not available. Now about the food, each and every item was lip smacking, my favourite being the Black bean pork. Pizzas are thin crust which i myself am not fond of very much. We opted for the rooftop sitting and the views from there were surreal. Definitely going to come back!

The open to sky small balcony sitting is beautiful. The ambiance is good. Food is amazingly tasty. Cocktails are super tasty. Live music on weekends. Recommended.

This is one of my go to places in ghy. Recently, I tried their shepherd’s pie and pork grill and they were oh so good! Must try! They have a specials board displayed and all the dishes sound so tempting and I plan to try them all. Their options of pork, chicken, seafood dishes are very well thought of. The staff are also really polite and proactive in their approach making sure the guests have all they need. All in all, a great place in Ghy!

This space reminds me of the cozy ones I saw in movies. Cozy setup, good music (props to their speakers), amazing food and great cocktails. What I loved too was the decanters they got me my alcohol in (Harvey Specter kind of a thing) The sit out area is a gem especially during those pleasant weather days. Totally recommending this space to people in Guwahati and people travelling to Guwahati. One up to the owners for curating a space like this. 🫡

The place is small with an outside seating area. The ambience is good with a great view of the Guwahati city & the surrounding hills. The service was quick and the servers were courteous and helpful too. We ordered shepherds pie and a few more items. The items were freshly cooked, the portions served were good and did taste great. The prices were reasonable too( comparatively). However, no good/premium beers were available. Also, the toilet could have been a bit more clean.

We had a confirmed table booking, yet when we arrived, the staff casually gave our table to someone else — as if reservations are just decorative words they use for fun. The waiters were unbelievably rude, unapologetic, and treated us like we were doing them a favor by showing up. There was no explanation, no attempt to fix the situation, and definitely no basic courtesy. The entire experience felt less like dining out and more like standing in line at a government office during a power cut. A place that can’t honor its own reservations and can’t teach its staff basic manners has no business calling itself a “grill.” Whiskey might age well — but their service clearly hasn’t matured. If you value your time, dignity, and mood — strongly consider going literally anywhere else.

Went for couple of drinks & dinner. The outside sitting area is so cozy with a view of the city. Live music was going on. The service was very good. Hood cocktails and spirits also has bottle options. Food was amazing specially the Ceasar Salad n Burgers. A big Yes next time
