Places like Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Island, Assam State Zoo, and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary attract visitors throughout the year. Guwahati is also famous for its cultural heritage, with Bihu festivals, local handicrafts, and traditional Assamese cuisine adding charm to daily life. For those who come for education, institutions such as IIT Guwahati and Gauhati University provide quality learning opportunities. The city has good connectivity through Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, railway stations, and expanding road networks. Shopping centers like City Center Mall and local markets such as Fancy Bazaar offer everything from modern brands to traditional items. While Guwahati has grown rapidly, traffic congestion and urban crowding can sometimes be challenging. However, the hospitality of the people and the balance of nature with city life make it a pleasant place to visit and live. Overall, Guwahati is both culturally rich and economically important for Assam and the entire Northeast.

Guwahati is very much advanced with more upcoming development for the city which I really appreciate. It makes everything easily accessible and simple. My issue is the cleanliness of the city, a few times i travelled around the city centre, fancy market, river side, I've come across a lot of human feces to be seen in public sidewalks. It is really disgusting and disturbing, not to mention the concerning state that some small rivers are seen to be in. People are also quite rude from my experience and I've gotten scammed quite a few times. I'd advice anyone visiting to have someone who is a local there who will be trustworthy to take care of you if you ever consider visiting.
