The museum of the legendary Assamese songwriter and singer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The sangarahalay displays almost every belonging of him, be it the spectacles he used to wear or the harmonium he used to play the songs in, the bed he used to sleep on, the kurta he used to wear, the awards he won - Bharat Ratna, Dadasaheb phalke, national film awards and many more. It is situated inside the campus of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.

The Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society has established a museum namely “Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Museum” at its Campus to preserve & showcase the various objects associated with the life and works of the legendary music icon Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Museum houses the various objects like awards and honours received by late Dr. Hazarika, some of the objects like musical instruments, furniture, dresses, etc used by music icon, important photographs, books that are the testimony of the immense contributions and accomplishments of Dr. Hazarika.

Live continuos music of world famous Singer-Composer-Artist Dr Bhupen Hazarika. His awards, books, spectacles, chairs, beds, pens are preserved here very nicely. It is a part of Kalakshetra (i.e. the place of art). Look like a residence of Bhupen Hazarika. It is dust proof AC parlour. Visitors will be nostalgic here.

It is on the way to and from Guwahati Airport and I had the opportunity to stop and see this great Memorial. Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra memorial is a tribute to our one of the best Indian singer and the best part of this is on the way to Airport. One of the finest Legend of Assam - Dr Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra located in Jalukbari, near Gauhati University is the ideal location to pay respect to the maestro.
