Dhaba Estd 1986 Delhi, Guwahati

Decent North Indian meal - dal makhani and tandoori chicken were good but lacked depth. Roti and naan were okay. and the “coconut lassi” was just plain lassi with coconut powder mixed in. Overall 6/10 — won’t rush back anytime soon.

The food here is good. I feel the taste has improved. Earlier, they would make with a lot of oil, but now the quantity and quality both have improved.

The food was good. I especially liked the highway chicken tikka. The garlic naan and bhatinda chicken were great too. Wasn't a big fan of their soya chaap. They were too big and so it felt a bit bland. If they reduced their size a bit maybe the sauce would penetrate the chaap better. Their butter chicken 1986 was fine too. They could do better with their side salad of onions and chutney. Overall I wouldn't mind visiting again whenever I'm craving Indian.

The food tasted average, not something Wow as per the price we paid, neither the experience was anything very good. Portion size does justice to the price. Keeping this aside the their Cocktails were very good, and it's a must try. We found a hair in the sweet dish we ordered. It was then deducted from the bill once we pointed that out. Overall: Over Expensive Place with Average Food but Lip Smacking Cocktails!

A full detailed review: Atmosphere: The interior is decorated with authentic Roadside Dhaba murals that add to the appeal. The cutlery is also nice to hold. Service: A lot of waiters are waiting on your every whim and thus make your experience enjoyable. Serving time is fast. Food: I have eaten at a lot of Dhabas before but the taste here is something else. It's a treat for vegs and non vegs alike with their nicely curated menu and complimentary snacks. All in all, this is a great place for a family outing.

The food was really good. I tried the chicken biryani and I can say that I had a very good biryani after a long time. The taste the flavours the spices was bang on. The butter chicken was really good. Loved the galouti kabab and pineapple raita as well.

I'm won't even talk about the taste of food, I'll just point out how extremely expensive this place is and compared to that how cheap the quality of taste is. The price of the food makes the taste of food much worse when you compare. On top of that when you've actually had the food of delhi which is both affordable and delicious, you'll personally feel like this place isn't living up at all to the name of Delhi. I would suggest you to visit rang de basanti dhaba or the punjabi dhaba in jorabat or kalita spectrum. Anywhere but here! I don't know what gave them the confidence to make the dishes so expensive.

It's an nice place... their hospitality just top notch.... But yeah the price were really too high as compared to the quantity...
