The Corner Café

I visited The Corner Cafe, Ambari on 28 Feb 2026. We ordered Veg Fried Rice and Chilly Chicken Gravy. From the same night, both of us suffered from headache, high fever, and vomiting. It appears to be food poisoning after eating there. This was a very bad and concerning experience. Food safety and hygiene should be taken seriously. I hope the management improves their quality and cleanliness.

A gem of a place. Was already told by my friend of the hours spent here and the good food. Got to try it today. Tired the chicken sizzler, sautéed veg, mashed potatoes (bit much cream 🙂)and fresh orange juice. Everything was finger licking good. Outside seating on the ground and first floor is just enough. Inside seating is good size. Will be back here for more. Like I said parking is an issue, try your luck on the side roads.

I had a pretty decent experience here. The food is good but it can be better. I ordered the chicken roast and chilly prawns dry. The chicken was really juicy and tender, however, I wasn't a huge fan of the BBQ sauce. The prawns were good. The service was great. The person who served me was polite and attentive. He was very helpful in explaining to me the items on the menu. The place itself is quite nice, with places to sit available downstairs as well as upstairs. It's a nice, cozy place. I would definitely like to come back in the future to try out more dishes here.

My favourite cafe in Guwahati!! The food is very good but more than anything else, I love the ambience of the place. It's a great place to spend time with friends. The watermelon juice is something I cannot resist every time I go there. And It's chicken sizzler is very very good. Corner Cafe is just one cafe I keep going back to and has become a great memory for me.

We visited there last week for the first time... It was a good experience for us... This cafe is so beautiful and the ambiance is so good... We have tried sizzlers and some other platters also, The food was delicious and I would like to recommend others to try their sizzlers... You can go there with your loved ones and spend quality time... Service was a bit slow but it's ok for me... Overall it was a great experience for me..

Very good ambiance and a really pleasant place to have snacks or light dinner. The place is comfortable and eye soothing. They did change the interiors from red to blue but it's still as beautiful. The food is really good but somewhere on the pricier side. The quantity is on the heavy side. We had one burger each and both of us were full at the end. The service staff wasn't that helpful and kept leaving the place and we had to go find him. Overall good place to visit with friends or family.

Food is good. We ordered 4 items but had to cancel one item as the service time was very high. This is one of the iconic cafes of Guwahati. and while the food and ambience is great, the service time needs to be improved significantly.
