I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rituparna Baruah Sir for successfully performing my mother's coronary angioplasty. His exceptional medical expertise, timely decision-making, and calm approach gave us immense confidence during a very difficult time. What truly sets him apart is his genuine concern for his patients’ well-being. He took the time to explain every detail clearly, provided continuous support, and ensured my mother felt comfortable and cared for throughout her treatment and recovery. This has to be one of the worst OPD experiences I have ever had at Apollo Hospitals. We were given an appointment with Dr Rituparna Baruah at 11:30 AM. It is 3:00 PM and we still haven’t been seen. First, patients were told the doctor was in OT. Then suddenly he “went for lunch.” This is not an emergency delay — this is sheer irresponsibility and terrible planning. If a doctor cannot manage OT and OPD on the same day, then appointments should NOT be given. Patients are not here to waste half their day waiting cluelessly. What makes this even more infuriating is that the waiting area is full of elderly patients and serious heart cases, including bypass patients, sitting for hours without any updates, concern, or basic courtesy. This is cardiology, not a casual clinic where delays don’t matter. There is zero respect for patients’ time, health, or dignity. No proper communication, no accountability, and no empathy. A hospital like Apollo should be ashamed to allow such chaos under its name. Highly disappointed and would NOT recommend this doctor or this OPD to anyone, especially senior citizens or critical cardiac patients. This kind of negligence in scheduling and attitude is simply unacceptable in healthcare.

I m under treatment of Dr Rituparna Sir since May 2016 .He has conducted my Angioplasty . Since then I used to continue my reviews time to time as advised by him. I m highly satisfied being treated under him . His behaviour and sincerity is highly admirable . He is an asset for our Society as well as Nation .. I wish him a healthy and peaceful life .. Dr. Rituparna Barua is a Very good and humble doctor. My husband has done coronary angioplasty 4 years running now under his advice he has done it successfully. He is not only a cardiologist but also a Social activist. If there are any heart related problems please come and consult him and take benefit on good quality life health.

I was prescribed Ecosprin AV for life for a minor plaque, even though in my case the benefits did not clearly outweigh the risks. I’m 38 years old and maintain a good lifestyle, so statin therapy alone should have been sufficient. Unfortunately, my condition wasn’t explained to me properly. After seeking a second opinion in Chennai, the doctor there immediately discontinued Ecosprin, stating it wasn’t necessary. This experience made me realize the importance of getting a balanced and transparent medical opinion. My earlier consultation was through a recommendation from a school friend, but going forward I intend to be more cautious about medical advice and where I seek it.
