For fresh veggies & fruits, we often visit Kachari market at Uzan bazar. The snapshots shared are from a nice evening visit to this local market. Also, we did visit the ferry ghar beside the market. Sunsets are such a joy to the melting heart.

The best place to get local vegetables and other edibles.. the variety available is the best and amazing and the sellers are very nice people . It has a old world charm and shamsuls shop is a treasure house of local items like various variety of chira ,rice,gur etc

One of the oldest sabji (vegetable) markets in Guwahati. One can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, local spices and some grocery items. Shop keepers are friendly and honest. Normally the price is on the higher side and getting roadside parking is difficult.

The Oldest Fresh / Wet market That I know of it's the best as Villages to the other side of the Brahmaputra river cultivate food & life stock & it's freshly brought here for sales.. u can get all fresh food items.. vegetables, fruits, meat ,pickles .. Most Importantly as ur in Asaam U would Probably want to try out or need to get boka rice... (Just soke rice in water & it's ready to eat usually served with doy (curd) ) black rice..etc etc ..see there are many shops one after other so u will find different stuf...

There is an awesome variety of foodie greens here. Many of them exotic herbs, if you knew to choose. Good place to do your weekly vegetable shopping and nearby is the Riverside fishing boat landing jetty where you get fresh river fish cheap

This is one of the oldest bazaars in Guwahati situated on the bank of mighty river Brahmaputra. This is mainly a vegetable market although fruits also available here. Many small and big bazaars coming up in the city, this place has lost its previous glory. It's remaining same during last few years.
