Visited this place that was recommended by my friends who visited this place earlier. This was the last leg of my Meghalaya trip. ||The good things- the place is huge, the rooms are spacious and nice, bathrooms are clean, very comfortable for families, and there are multiple good reviews about the hotel/guest house. I was happy with my choice but the feeling lasted only few hours. ||The bad/worse part||Only when things go little out of hand does the true character gets reflected. It’s about how you handle a situation, how you ensure a problem is addressed or resolved. ||The previous night, we enquired about breakfast timing as we need to visit Kamakhya temple as it was our wedding anniversary. We were informed that due to some function/event, the restaurant is closed and we will be served breakfast in room by 830am. ||Things started going out of hand the next day morning. First, the geyser stopped working due to some issues. We tried reaching the front desk multiple times but there was no response. One guy turned up after 30 mins, he told the problem cannot be rectified immediately. I asked him for an alternative room only for taking bath. He told no room was available. After some discussion, he told a room is available!!! We lost 1 hr in this episode. ||The breakfast arrived at 9am. When I questioned him for the delay, he was smiling and told it got late. Turns out that they were lazy to get up and cook. ||Finally, after all the drama, the owner comes up and says sorry. Not sure how to react to that half baked statement. These people seem to be contended with good ratings that they forgot how to deliver basic service. Would definitely not recommend this place

Nirvana Guest house is not just a place for me to stay in Guwahati it feels like a second home. Whenever I travel through Guwahati, I don’t even think of staying anywhere else. The staff are incredibly warm, polite, and genuinely caring. They don’t treat you like a guest, they treat you like family. Gulzar bhai deserves a special mention, he has always gone out of his way to help me, no matter what, and that kind of kindness stays with you. I’ve stayed here many times while my father was undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. During such a stressful time, the care we received here made a huge difference. They even prepared custom food for my father, keeping his diabetic condition in mind, something I will always be grateful for. The rooms are large, peaceful, and always spotless, with fresh bedding and towels every time. Recently, they opened a rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view, and having breakfast there has become one of my favorite little rituals during my stay. The food is consistently delicious, especially the thalis, great taste, generous portions, and the same comforting flavour every time. You can tell it’s cooked with care and heart. I genuinely recommend Nirvana Guesthouse to anyone visiting Guwahati. If you’re looking for a place that offers not just comfort, but kindness and warmth, this is it.

I have been staying at Nirvana Guest House for more than four years, and it has truly become my second home. The staff are extremely well-behaved, always eager to help, and consistently supportive in every possible way. The food is delicious, hygienic, and homely, adding greatly to the comfort of long and short stays alike. The property itself is lush green, peaceful, and full of positive energy, making it a lively yet relaxing place to stay. Above all, the property owner is a wonderful host—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring—who ensures every guest feels welcomed and valued. Nirvana Guest House offers a perfect blend of comfort, care, and nature, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly pleasant stay.

Fantastic experience overall! The food was delicious and full of flavor, though it could've been just a tad less oily next time. The service staff were super friendly and attentive, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance felt cozy and inviting. Location is super convenient too – not tucked away at all! Can't wait to visit again soon.

Its a good guest house and the road that leads to the guest house is just beside the Bharat Petroluem Pump. The host and staffs are friendly and cooperative. Foods are like home made with less spices...it is very convenient for the people visiting Netralaya hospital.

⭐ 1/5 – WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. A COMPLETE SCAM. 8th Dec 2025 I don’t even know where to start. Staying at Nirvana Hotel, Guwahati was an absolute nightmare and the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. After a long flight from Delhi, I checked in hoping to rest before the Post Malone concert. Instead, I walked straight into what felt like a dark, abandoned, haunted building. The hotel is in a pitch-dark area, and inside it’s even worse—almost no lighting, just those disgusting old Surya bulbs, making the place feel like a cheap 90s horror set, not a hotel. I had booked their BEST room, and guess what? Active construction was going on. Loud drilling, hammering, nonstop noise. I did not sleep even for a minute. My head was pounding, I was mentally exhausted, and my entire mood and health were ruined. I complained to the manager immediately. He didn’t care. At all. No apology, no solution, no room change, no stopping the construction. Just pure arrogance and zero professionalism. Because of this, my concert experience was completely destroyed. I paid so much money, traveled so far, and this place ruined everything. Food? Absolutely horrible. Room food was below average—borderline inedible. And then they had the audacity to shut down all food services early. At 10 PM, there was NOTHING. I had to order from Zomato in the middle of the night because the hotel couldn’t even provide basic hospitality. And the biggest lie of all— THE PICTURES ARE FAKE. What you see online is not what you get. The real place is dark, poorly maintained, depressing, and honestly feels unsafe and haunted. This hotel didn’t just ruin my stay— it ruined Guwahati for me forever. If you value your money, sleep, mental peace, or even basic human decency, DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is a total scam, run by people who do not care about guests at all. Avoid at all costs.

Thanks for your hospitality. I stayed in this property for 2 days. Bed and blankets are clean. Bathroom is average. It's little inside town but still you get online food delivery. Breakfast is good but it's bit late, serves after 8:30. Room is little suffocating due to dust in curtains, cupboard. Staffs are supportive. If below things are done it's most affordable guest house -serve breakfast bit early - clean the curtain, front area of property n cupboards
