Hotel Brahmaputra Residency

We visited this hotel by booking thru their web page. They told that they did not receive the money though they accepted that the web page was theirs. They told that there is no payment option. I asked them - have they no control over their web page? No answer. They accept that they have received similar complaints previously. Then why did not they safe guard their web page? No answer. I had to make payment of Rs. 9,000 again as both of us are senior citizen and lot of luggage. No other option at that time. Gpay and our bank suggested to approach Cyber Crime, but I have little hopes. To my horror, I received a message to my WhatsApp - a copy of the letter written by their employee to the management telling how badly the management insulted and treated wrongly to him. Why it is for me? To intimidate ? Of course, no employee there have a smile on their face. They behave as if they are working under KimJong Un. Next day dirty water was flowing from all taps. I gave a complaint to the front desk. He visited and suggested - after flushing several time, it become clean. None of the staff attended it. Even though I am 68, I flushed more than 25 times and kept ope all taps till I got clean water. Even the request to send 2 bottles of water was not entertained. I wend down and bought it. Added to this there was repair work going on. Heavy drilling sound made us not to sleep. I have taken copies of all messages, payment receipts etc. But never suggest this hotel even for my enemy. Throughout North east states we got very good hotels, nice people, but this hotel mad our stay horrible. The management has replied that they sent an email asking for details of payment. The details of payment has already given by WhatsApp message to which they had replied. All are bluff. They provided standard reply. Even today they have not removed the payment option from their web page. My simple intention is to see that no other innocent customer should become a prey

Well this place took me by surprise as it delivered far more than I expected. Apart from the fact that its on the 8th floor in an office complex once you get into your room you wouldn't be able to differenaciate it from a room in any 3 or 4 star accommodations elsewhere in the city. Things that I loved :-||||1. Fast Wifi Connection - The wifi connection was 4MBPS that a wow for me.||2. Clean and well kept room - The rooms was fantastic, as good as a 4 Star accommodation.||3. Really Friendly front office guys - They engaged in friendly banter and are quite pleasant.||4. Proximity to the railway station - If you have a train to catch the is the best place to be.||5. Clean bathrooms - Which is so great if you need a long hot soak after a long train journey.||||||The only Cons are its location in an office complex and the room service charges are a little steep. If you can deal with that, then this is something I would recommend for you and use myself if I am ever back in Guwahati

I had a very pleasant 3 nights stay. Rooms are spacious and has all the required amenities. Service and management are very cooperative and well mannered. Restaurant is good and you can order breakfast as early as 8 am and as late as 10 pm. Though the restaurant is Vegetarian, you can order Non-vegetarian and have it at your room. They provide the cutlery. There are also ample food options around the place. The hotel is on the eight (8th) floor. There are two lifts and ample parking at the basement. Location is right on GS Road and is well connected.

I would have given a 5 star if the hospitality by the person at the reception was good. In India it's all about athithi devo bavah, but this guy has no respect for people who are traveling from 2500 km and coming. It's like I don't care just go away. He blatantly declined us late stay checkout for 1 hour, where we booked for 3 rooms and asked we will check out 1 room late. They kept banging on the doors asking to vacate, sent cleaning person and made a fake story that customers are shouting that they need a room where as there were 5-6 rooms still unoccupied and there were no customers on the wait. Just bad experience at the end of the trip. There is a veg restaurant, it's a limited memu but good food and the restaurant people are very kind.

The hotel is located on the 8th floor, and it was a bit confusing at first since there was no one around to guide us. The rooms were medium-sized, above average, and fairly neat. The service was good, and the food was quite nice. Overall, a decent stay once you find your way in.

Not abel for 1 star, ,,,i have paid for MAP plan at time of dineer they told that u have to pay the money for starter and water bottel also they give very limited dinner option ....dont book this hotel

Very good, comfortable stay at the hotel. Staff is polite and professional. Very neat and clean living space. Very good option to stay in Guwahati.
