One of the best hosts in the city. Mr. Clinton will make sure you have a pleasant and no troubled experience while in Guwahati. He'll make sure that the guest gets something to eat and doesn't starve even if it forces him to stay up till one in the morning! He treated me as a brother and opened up a bit as well sharing his travelling stories, which seemed really cool :D His hospitality forced us to come back to this place for a second time while we were in that part of the country and perhaps even in future. Moreover, the food is really good and just like what I got back home and most importantly, very economical! Thank you Mr Owner for such a great experience and caretaker!

Stayed with family & friends for one night at this place and did not regret it. The owner Basab is a great host, while his team of caretakers led by the ever-smiling Clinton are just simply wonderful. Food was homely, tasty and very very reasonably priced. Kids loved the little garden with the swing. Location is near the main road, but away from the din and noise of city life. Rooms & toilets are spacious, clean and all amenities are provided, including TVs, wifi and newspapers.||||Overall, it felt like a home away from home. Thoroughly recommended for stay in Guwahati.

We stayed at this homestay for one night and found it adequate in all aspects. The caretaker was very cooperative. Food which was home made, was good. Although bathroom fixtures and overall architecture/feeling of cleanliness could be improved, overall it was a great value for money (we got it at around 1200/-).

Very beautiful Homestay run by very humble gentleman Mr. Basab. Had a great stay. Staff do not understand English & Hindi but eager to serve you in best possible way. Cooks amazing food for you as per your choice. The only issue is privacy. We felt Homestay should be strictly for guests and not for non guests especially at the common areas and sit out. Common areas must be available to guest at any time of the day. All in all had a great stay. Would love to stay again

Highly Recommended!! Though its 20-40 from Kamakshya Temple, Brahmaputra, Paltan Bazar etc. the place is quiet, serene and homely. The staff there are more like friends and ready to help you out all the time. Mr Basab is very accomodative. The interiors are very aesthetic and the room, toilets, lines are neat and clean. I am sure you will like the place. Only suggestion : If the owner could also manage Power Back Up System in order to keep ACs running for the guests.......Debashish Mitra

We stayed here for about a week. Large room with wardrobe and veranda. Food was good , need to inform the caretaker about food service needed, quantity and the items. Laundry service is available on request. We found small Earthworms in tap water of Bathroom at first floor. AC in our room at first floor was not working during warm days of April so we had to change to a room at ground floor. Caretaker Clinton was very helpful and co-operative. He was almost the all-in-all doing everything for all guests.

This place is a single star property - avoidable. The second star is for the people - the caretakers who are nice people - and the guy cooks well.||||We had asked for Ashirwad homestay - but the room we wanted was not available so they offered us this property. So far so good. And the entrance also looks good - location is nice...||||But the rest of it was bad. The AC was leaking water - they fixed that. Geyser was not working in one bathroom, no water in another, in a third water from the bathroom was coming into the room. The place had a musty smell in every part of it - toilets were not clean, dustbin was left uncleaned.||||This property is actually a nice property - nice lawn, layout etc. but they are not interested in making it better.

We felt very lucky to have found this homestay. It was a delight to meet Basab, the owner and he was very helpful in sorting out details for the rest of our trip. Kalpa went the extra mile looking after us and cooking delicious food. Thank you. The rooms are spacious with their own bathrooms and there is a communal sitting are along with the kitchen. It is a short walk to a main road from which lots of public transport can get you around Guwahati. Highly recommended.
