Smarthotel Bodø

Came to Bodø for a couple of nights. I checked in very late using the user-friendly self check-in kiosk. I was pleasantly surprised to find I'd been given a top floor room, with a gorgeous harbour view. There was also a sweet little note a snack left in the room for me. Everything about the stay was wonderful - it was clean, quiet, easy to walk anywhere including the airport, the train station across the road, the waterfront across the road, and sentrum a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast was great. The hotel was styled in classic Scandinavian simplicity. I saw the Northern Lights from my room. Never heard a peep from other guests at night. I loved it and would highly recommend.

I felt comfortable at the hotel. The view from the 8th floor—room 820—was great. Watching movies in bed while enjoying the beautiful view of the harbor, the two roundabouts, and the train station. The size of the room was fine for one person. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the remote control for the TV, so I didn't watch it. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. There was a supermarket within a 5-minute walk.

We had a terrific stay here. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. A great buffet breakfast was included, with an ample selection of sweet and savory options. The hotel is located across from the train station, a 5 minute walk from the Bankgata bus stop from the airport. Bodo city center is pretty small, so getting around on foot from the hotel is very doable.

Location is fantastic. Only a 5 minute walk to a nice shopping centre and main shopping street. Only thing that lets it down is the service. There's only one person staffed. I went down to get something from reception and there were about 8 to 10 people waiting to check in and inly one person serving serving. Other than thay, the hotel is very clean, double room is large with lots of space for luggage.

Arriving a little before the check-in start time, friendly and welcoming staff were happy to provide the early checkin. Room was fine, clean with a bed that gave a very good night’s sleep. Breakfast had a good range of choices. Baggage storage also available. It is very easy to walk around the Bodø from the hotel with local buses close by with connections to all around the town and airport. The hotel is also opposite the train station. |As with all hotel doors in Norway, be aware that the door does not automatically lock. It has a 60 second delay. You can override this by tapping the keycard on the external reader as soon as you leave the room to action the lock immediately.

Location good,lounge well-furnished, reception friendly and efficient. Food at breakfast good but depends on who made the scrambled egg, most days pale,watery and tasteless otherdays yellow and tasty. Coffee useless, no caffeine. Decent coffee has to be bought at reception. Worst of all, the room: only 50cm around the double bed which was comfortable. Room too small, no room for table or chair, shelf-space enough for a comb and toothbrush and some keys, that's all,| nowhere for a drink or snack, all has to be done sitting on bed. Bathroom good though water supply packs up momentarily when a lot of people are using. Price ok but I wouldn't book again, sorry. Room 812.

The room was small but clean, and there was no parking available at the hotel, so we had to park on the street. To lock your room’s door, press the lock button on the handle before closing it. They offered free laundry, though there was only one washer and one dryer. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave early and didn’t get a chance to try it. Unfortunately, they don’t offer any grab-and-go options.
