Vishwaratna Hotel

We stayed at Hotel Vishwaratna from 10th to 12th January 2026 for the JCI India Zone 5,8,25 Presidential Academy program. A group of 58 participants stayed here, and everyone had a wonderful experience. The venue was well-organized, comfortable, and perfectly suited for such a large professional program. The food was very tasty, hygienic, and enjoyed by all participants. The staff was supportive and cooperative, making our stay smooth and pleasant. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Hotel Vishwaratna Guwahati for both stay and food. Truly a great choice!

Please be careful if you are planning to stay here - their staff will steal from your room and their management will deny taking any responsibility. ||This happened with me and my wife when we stayed there recently. After coming back to the room from breakfast, we found that my wife's purse was open and some cash was missing. We demanded CCTV footage from the management but they did not provide the footage for the specific time which we had asked for. But the footage which they provided also clearly showed that a housekeeping staff entered several rooms after the occupants left for breakfast. Upon confronting the management about this, I was simply told that "we have gone through the footage. There is something definitely wrong. So we would be filing an FIR against that staff member and share a copy with you." But nothing was mentioned about compensating me for my loss. And I haven't even received copy of the so called FIR after almost 15 days.||So, it is very clear that the Hotel Management is least bothered about it's customers and their safety and is not willing to take any responsibility for the acts of it's staff. Please be careful before you stay at this hotel.

As per room category it was ok, staffs are well behaved. Breakfast options were les. But there was no toiletries in the bathroom and the wardrobe had a damp smell. Otherwise it was ok to stay as I am staying in this hotel usually.

Visited this hotel as part of a travel package. The rooms were decent, bathrooms were not well kept. Upon entering the hotel after a long journey, the reception asks for IDs of everyone in the group and takes a photo of everyone (Free Data whoo) before giving the keys. As part of my package our dinner was covered but apparently they can't track the room numbers. We had done a single order from the room as one of my members was sick, rest of us ordered in the restaurant where a loud family party went on the whole night. Come tomorrow while checking out, a male staff comes and asks us to pay the bill for the food ordered from the room saying two different orders can't be made (They asked for room numbers in the restaurant as well). Totally nonsensical behaviour, we paid the bill as we had a flight to catch and had to leave asap. Also the hotel gates aren't open all the time, we had to admit a person in the night. While returning, there is no one near the gate and had to call the reception to get some to open it while waiting outside in the middle of the night with a patient. Only good thing was the food quality and the location (cab availability was good). TLDR:- Decent location, good food, terrible management/staff, average rooms, probably overpriced for the quality provided.

We recently visited Vishwaratna Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The receptionist Bikumoni was extremely helpful and courteous throughout our visit, making the check-in and overall stay smooth and comfortable. Special thanks as well to the bell boy Promod Vaishya, who was polite, prompt, and very supportive with our luggage and requests. Both of them truly made us feel welcome with their warm hospitality. Great service and a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended 😊

Pleasantly surprised at the beautiful Property. Upto date, neat & clean, elegantly decorated with all amenities in place. Feel the place is in congested area, maybe it suits many but since we've come to attend a marriage at this Venue, location as such doesn't matter much except reaching from Airport & back. The food / eatable seem to be highly priced, but, quick & courtesy in service makes the experience worth the money.

Lovely karaoke night at the restaurant which was really pleasant along with dinner. The staff was helpful with local information and guidance for Kamakhya Devi Temple darshan. We were able to visit Umananda Temple as well by ferry. The location is the best part about this hotel as it is a short walk to the main market - Fancy Bazaar and also a short ride to Brahmaputra River. We were able to do all our last day gifts and souvenir shopping easily before departure. Would recommend that the hotel manage the machine like noise in the room at night as it was noisy in the room. The hotel is well located . The service is excellent . The food items at their restaurant taste superb . They have a well stocked bar too . Only negative point is that considering the small size of their Deluxe rooms , the tariff is on the higher side . Highly recommended .
