Had the worst experience with their modular kitchen section. I am not a carpenter and neither do I hold any architectural degree but I bet I could have done a better job. Even after their thorough inspection and measurements, they told us that the measurements of their cabinets were off and thus they had our entire granite slab replaced (ofc out of their own pockets). Even then they ran into multiple problems during the fitting and every time all they did was blame each other. Nobody even owned up to their mistakes. All they did was try to shamelessly cover up their mistakes with a new lie every time. Even now the kitchen looks like a piece of modern art with one panel sticking out of the corner. There was not a single service feedback message, even from Godrej. Therefore, I had to post this here so that nobody else has to go through this nightmare again.

The staff behaviour was good. However, the installation took more than two months due to shortage of technicians. The fitting in some areas is not up to expectations, but the staff has promised to resolve these issues within the next week. Overall, the final look is good.

I am very dissatisfied with the after service of Godrej Interio Modular Kitchen, GS Road, Near Annapurna Hotel. We have given them complain regarding the fittings of our kitchen which has loosened a month ago but they did not send a proper technician to solve the problem, they always mention that they are short of manpower. But, how can a reputed brand like Godrej Interio have only one person as technician? It seems that the owner is trying to save money by keeping only one person as technician, they only take orders but never solve the issues faced by the customer after installation. Moreover during measurement of the modular kitchen their site engineer had ordered accessories excessively which costs almost more than Rs.7,000/- and they have also admitted later on that these are extra accessories which are of no use but they have declined to give us refund. Earlier before order we had also received review regarding their poor after service, but now we are also victim of similar issues, so customers before ordering from Godrej Interior be aware of their short of manpower and poor afterservice.

The Kitchen Story team at GS Road worked wonders with my compact kitchen! Godrej's design maximized space, and the corner units are so practical. Thanks for making my kitchen dreams come true!

It was neat and easy to browse , the team greeted me with smiles and answered all my questions , and the items on the shelves looked even better in person than online . Prices were fair across the board , and you could tell that every little detail had been thought through , from the way products were arranged to how they were wrapped at checkout . I will absolutely return , and I recommend it to anyone looking for quality and good service .

Visited the Godrej showroom recently and had a great experience. The staff was polite, helpful, and well-informed about the products. They patiently answered all my queries and even helped with comparisons to make the right purchase. Overall, a smooth and satisfying experience.

Extremely Disappointed with Service and Quality from 'The Kitchen Story' Guwahati. I had a very unpleasant experience with [THE KITCHEN STORY] for my modular kitchen installation. Initially, everything sounded promising, but once the payment was made, the service quality drastically dropped. Key issues I faced: 1. Our godrej kitchen was installed approx 3 month ago but I didn't get the bill yet. 2. We faced fittings problem in our kitchen cabinet. 3. After granite installation Cooktop Slab Height was 35.2 inch which Makes Cooking Uncomfortable. The cooktop slab has been installed much higher than standard, making daily cooking physically uncomfortable and straining on the arms and shoulders. This is basic kitchen ergonomics and should have been properly assessed based on the user's height and comfort. Now I’m left with a kitchen that looks good but is a nightmare to use. 4. Cutlery tray is missing. They said that cutlery tray will be provided with the furniture but I have not received it yet. 5. In the quotation clearly mentioned 20 legs, but only 16 were provided during installation. I had to contact the store myself to point it out, after which I was given a refund for the missing legs. This reflects poor internal checks and lack of transparency. 6. The quotation included 5 skirtings, but only 4 were delivered initially. After following up, I got a refund for the 1 missing skirting. However, only 3 skirtings were actually installed in my kitchen, leaving 1 extra unused skirting worth ₹3957.15. It was never installed, and is still lying in my home untouched. I asked for a refund of ₹3,957.15, the exact cost of that unused skirting. Shockingly, they refused, claiming they don't take returns, even though this was due to their own planning or delivery mismanagement. Why should a customer pay nearly ₹4,000 for a product that was never used, never asked for, and wasn’t part of the final installation? This is not just careless — it’s unethical billing and poor customer treatment. 7. During the 3D design phase, I noticed that there was no bottle pull-out cabinet included. I specifically asked the design team to add one, as it's a basic and highly useful feature in any modern modular kitchen. Their response: “There’s no space left” — so I had no choice but to agree and compromise, trusting their expertise. However, when the actual installation happened, I was shocked to see that the drawer next to that area is nearly 3.5 feet wide — bulky, impractical, and clearly oversized. It became obvious that a bottle puller could have been easily accommodated if they had planned the space more efficiently. This proves that either: They didn’t care about optimizing the design based on user needs, or They rushed through the layout without practical thought or flexibility. Either way, it shows poor planning, lack of consultation, and a dismissive attitude toward customer preferences — all of which are unacceptable in a modular kitchen project that costs lakhs of rupees. 8. Before the installation, I had full trust in 'The Kitchen Story' and their association with Godrej Modular Kitchen. Based on my positive impression during the early stages, I even referred my 2 neighbour and uncle to them, as they were also starting their interior projects. But after those several problems faced, I have completely lost confidence in their team. As a result, I have now cancelled all referrals from my side. I feel it would be irresponsible to recommend a company that delivers such an unprofessional experience after payment is made. Final Words: The overall experience with 'The Kitchen Story' has been frustrating, stressful, and disappointing. There were serious flaws in planning, careless handling of materials, and unacceptable behavior when it came to accountability and refunds. I strongly advise others to be cautious and thoroughly verify every detail before finalizing any order with them. Lastly I just need my all problems solution as soon as possible...
