The holy Daul Govinda Mandir, one of the important temples of Kamrup, Assam, situated on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra river, on the foothills of Chandra Bharati hill at Rajaduar, North Guwahati and this natural ambience heightens the sanctity of this place of worship. The temple is mainly devoted to "Bhagwan Shri Krishna". Besides, there is an Namghar along with the temple within the same premises. History shows that the first structure of Doul Govinda Temple was erected more than one hundred and fifty years ago but it was again renovated in 1966.

The Doul Govinda Temple is located in Guwahati, Assam, India. A temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Besides, there is a Namghar along with the temple within the same premises. This temple in Serval stories exists regarding the deity and how the deity was brought here by the late Ganga Ram Barooah from a place called Sandhyasar near Nalbari. The temple is open throughout the year, but you can only enjoy walking on the white sands of the beaches of Brahmaputra from the month of November to April. The temple is well known for the beautiful and also for the traditional surroundings. That makes it a significant spiritual and cultural destination in Assam.

It is a nice modern temple in North Guwahati region. There is a big marble floored hall, at the end of which there is Krishna temple. It is a small beautiful black vigrah. There is a separate large hall to lit diyas. A Ganesh temple is also there at the entrance of premises. The temple is very neat and clean.
