Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, Lord Shiva peacefully sits still, protecting and blessing his devotees. Temple is clean, surrounded by nature, didnot meet any money extorting pandits, doggo friendly, high spiritual energy was felt especially during morning hours.

Peaceful Hilltop Shiva Temple with Panoramic Views Lankeshwar Temple is a serene and spiritual spot nestled on a hilltop in western Guwahati, not far from Gauhati University. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds deep mythological significance, believed to be connected with Ravana’s devotion. You need to climb around 450 steps to reach the top, but it’s absolutely worth it. The path is clean, with small shrines and a Shani temple along the way, adding to the spiritual atmosphere. Once you reach the summit, you’re rewarded with a breathtaking view of the city and the Brahmaputra river on a clear day. The temple itself is peaceful and well-maintained, with a calm and quiet atmosphere perfect for meditation or simply taking in the sacred surroundings. Early morning visits are ideal to avoid the heat and enjoy the cool breeze. Highly recommended for those seeking peace, devotion, or just a scenic spot away from the city’s hustle. 🙏

Very calm and serene place. Has a Lord Hanuma's golden coloured statue. Has some history that I'm not really sure of. The management should write a little about the story and history somewhere in English. There's some litter of Puja Sahitya right besides the stairs you're trying to visit the Hanuman statue from. Management should consider cleaning it often. Looks like it's been there for years.

Beautiful and colourful temple located on a hill-top near to Airport. One has to climb 200 steps to see the mesmerizing shivling temple and Lord Hanuman statue. Very historical place amidst serene nature. One can perform Jal Abhishek. Lord Hanuman ji in meditative state is the major attraction to see while climbing stairs. 30 minutes required to see this beautiful Temple located on Airport road in Guwahati.
