We recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful South Indian restaurant. Their sambar was truly exceptional, bursting with authentic flavors. We also had the opportunity to try their rava masala, which was delightfully crispy and flavorful. The masala dosa we ordered was equally impressive, perfectly cooked with a delicious filling. We highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a memorable South Indian culinary experience.

South House, Jayanagar is a simple, no-frills place that serves really good South Indian food at very reasonable prices. It’s not flashy or fancy, but the dosas are crisp, the chutneys are fresh, and the flavours feel comforting and authentic. If you’re looking for good South Indian food without burning your pocket, this is a solid choice in the area.

Ordered multiple time through awiggy & Zomato in the last 12months, visited 1st time and experience was not bad. Neat&clean place. I tried chole bhature, bhatures are good but chole was only tomato thick gravy wild mild spices. It's not a one time visit place.👍

I had their Pav Bhaji and it was the worst Pav Bhaji I have ever had. I have no idea about their Original South Dishes but don't try Pav Bhaji here.

I will provide a detailed review about the restaurant. 1. Service: I feel like they are under staffed for sure, at least in evening. The staff takes orders late and they forget orders which have been taken. I had visited today evening and there was a rush but which was easily controllable with proper skills. One of the couple left when they saw people who had arrived late had received their orders instead of them. Service is one of the issue which should be dealt asap. 2. Atmosphere: The main entrance has just one ac which is in front of the reception table: that is not sufficient at all. Another ac should be installed in the main area. There is no door in the wash basin area, and the mop with other items are being kept which looks so unhygienic and dirty. This was such a letdown for us. 3. Food: I am a frequent visitor at south house, but i am going to give a break because the chefs should know the difference between rava, mysore and normal dosa. Every singles dosa’s style and batter is the same. It’s just the shape of the dosa changes, this is totally a fraud. I will be happy to teach the chefs the huge difference in all of them. Note to the owner: Kindly take these comments in a positive way and try to make these changes for a successful and prosperous future ahead. All the best!!!

Best south indian food at affordable price

I have ordered this Paper Butter Cheese Masala Dosa from South House located in Jayanagar Chariali, it's a south Indian restaurant they have a have different South Indian food. Coming to the food the Dosa came with Sambar and Coconut Chutney at Rs 150+ taxes. The Dosa was pretty good but it can be better, the coconut chutney was good but it doesn't have that authentic flavour and the sambar was something which I love it it was just amazing and texture of the dosa was also good enough and the masala stuffed inside the dosa was also pretty good. Overall, it was a pretty good dosa but it can be better and also they need to work on the packaging because I was not expecting this type of packing.
