Dedicated temple for maa tara. It usually remains open during darshan time without any crowd. Must visit place while coming to Kamakhya temple

Route guide - This Tara Temple comes in 3rd place after Chinnamasta Temple (Righthand side) when you start climbing Kamakhya Temple stairs. This is one amongst 10 Mahavidya Temples located on Kamakhya / Nilachal Hills.

In the Shaivism and Shaktism tradition of Hinduism, the goddess Tara is the second of the ten Mahavidyas. She is considered a form of Adishakti, the tantric manifestation of Parvati. Her three most famous forms are Ekajaṭā, Ugratara, and Nīlasarasvatī (also spelled Neelasaraswati, Neela Saraswati, or Neelsaraswati). Her most famous centre of worship is the temple and the cremation ground of Tarapith in West Bengal, India. Joy maa tara 🌺🌺

Small and beautiful temple of Maa Tara, just before the main entrance of Kamakhya temple. The steps are high and steep, might be tough for senior citizens to climb.

Maa Tara Mandir. Here you can find her in "Sagun (Saakaar)" form. Her nirguna-niraakar form is at Ugra Tara temple which is very far to kamakhya temple due to Brahmarshi Vasishta's curse. Who ever suffers from Guru graha dosha should perform Pooja,Jap,dhyan here and get her blessings.

As we walked towards Kamakhya temples path we will find gate of Maa Tara Temple. It will be on our right side. We have to take few elevated stairs to reach Temple, pimple structure is comparatively smaller than Maa Kamakhya Temple, god is maa Tara is worshipped here.
