A Naamghar established more than 100 years ago with a spiritual air. Rare to find a place with so much open space in this concrete Metro. The field is used as a playground by the children and walking area by the elders. The Naamghar is used for Naam Prasanga by the residents especially on Thursdays alongwith Holiday, Janmashtami and the Tithis of Srimanta Shankardeva and Madhabdeva. Durga Puja is also celebrated with great fervour. The annexed RCC covered area is let out for weddings and special occasions where the abundant parking space makes everything convenient for the family.

“Beautiful and peaceful spiritual place! The atmosphere here is very calming and perfect for prayer, meditation, and reflection. Grounds are clean and well-maintained, and devotees are respectful and devotional. A great place to visit if you’re seeking quiet time and spiritual upliftment. Highly recommended!” 🌼🙏

Nice place for marriage and other social programs.

This is a worst place to organise weddings or any function. The place is unhygienic and very pathetically maintained. Please pay some extra amount and book a better space elsewhere. The Old ladies and middle aged men who go the Krishna temple inside the venue misbehaves with outsiders and treats the public space as their private space. They just are in that community or committee to earn money free of cost.

Serene atmosphere but congested road. Just adjacent to railway line so tain honking will be there. Has an attached playground/ fair ground. Can be booked for marriages and events, not cheap but reasonable.

A rare gem of divinity in the heart of Guwahati, so blessed to be amongst its aura of an historic Naam ghar still following the great Shankardev's teachings in Assam

Gopalananda Ashram namghar is very Jagrata mandir . I feel like that. For more then 75 years I and my family reside in front of this very namghar. Mahatma Gandhiji visited this place in the year 1920.
