This place feels timeless. Standing here, the Brahmaputra stretches endlessly— calm, powerful, and steeped in centuries of Assam’s history. Once a lifeline for ancient trade, culture, and civilization, the river still carries the soul of Guwahati in its slow, majestic flow. It’s a perfect spot to wander, pause, and take it all in. The Starbucks here overlooks the river, turning a simple coffee into a front-row seat to heritage and horizon. As the sun begins to set, the sky melts into shades of gold and amber, reflecting off the Brahmaputra like a living canvas, quiet, cinematic, unforgettable 🌅 A place where modern moments meet an ancient river.

A beautifully maintained heritage centre with stunning views of the Brahmaputra River. The exhibits clearly showcase Assam’s rich culture and history. Peaceful atmosphere, clean premises, and very informative. A must-visit place in Guwahati.

The cruise was comfortable with live band, the singing of retro songs were super. However, there was nothing worthwhile to view from the deck. Just an one hour slow cruise along the depleted Brahmaputra river.

It is one of the most captivating places to experience the beauty and culture of Assam. Situated on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River, it combines natural charm with historical significance, making it a must-visit for both tourists and locals. The riverfront is beautifully developed with clean walkways, gardens, seating areas, and artistic structures that reflect the cultural richness of Assam. One of the main highlights is the stunning view of the Brahmaputra, especially during sunrise and sunset, when the golden rays reflect on the water, creating a magical scene. What makes the place even more special is its calm and peaceful atmosphere. Families, students, and tourists often gather here to relax, enjoy the breeze, and click memorable photographs. Food stalls serving local snacks add to the charm, offering a taste of Assam’s unique cuisine. Overall, the Brahmaputra River Heritage Front is not just a tourist spot but a cultural hub that connects people with nature and history. It truly reflects the pride and identity of Assam, making it a destination worth visiting again and again.
