I had an okayish experience at this restaurant. The food is good but not as good as the Kasturis in Kolkata. The ambience is nice. It's quiet inside and outside noise isn't heard. I ordered Jomidari Thali and it tasted okay. The fish was cooked well in mustard. The chicken was spicier but good. The chutney however felt a bit different. The big disappointment came from the way food is served. I couldn't help but compare the way food is served in this restaurant and the other Kasturi I've been to in kolkata. Serving water in paper cups should be a big no. A simple glass tumbler would also do. Washroom could have been better though but it was usable. Overall, if you are craving for some bengali cuisine then you can go to this restaurant.

Visited Kausturi Bengali Restaurant for lunch and the experience was just average. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom and washroom, which were in very poor condition. Cleanliness overall was lacking, and even the menu book was dirty, creating a bad first impression. We ordered 3 Jamindari Thali, 2 Maharaja Thali, 1 French fries, and 1 Posto Bora. The food presentation was very poor. Posto bora was bad and too tight. Some items were tasty, but overall the food was only okay. Mutton was good, which was a positive. Gulab jamun was clearly reheated in a microwave and served warm, which was just okay. A major service issue was that the waiters forgot to serve two items from the Maharaja Thali. We noticed this only after checking the menu and had to inform them. Only then were the missing items served. This should not happen, especially at this price point. Serving water in paper cups was unexpected. The waiters’ behavior needs improvement, and charging extra for food packing felt unnecessary. This outlet is not comparable to any Kolkata branch in terms of food quality, service, or overall experience. We spent ₹5200 for lunch, which did not feel justified. Overall, it was okay but not very good, expensive for what it offers, and needs serious improvement in cleanliness, service, and presentation.

Experience in Kasturi restaurant was not that fantastic. I ordered 2 Maharaj thali 3 jamidari thali one postor Bora and one French fry where the poster border was not made properly where the postor Bora was not climbed properly even with that the person who served the food forgot that even itms like prawn malai curry even existed in their menu card the even ,forgot to serve as the food we had to self served. I ordered the food for a rupees 5200 which felt me as if I was robbed by the restaurant because the quality of food even the ambiance along with that the service was not that level of what I expected . Even they were unhygienic where the toilets and washrooms was dirty along with that they asked for additional packaging charge of 20 rupees , which was even disrespectful for May because I ordered for a rupees of 5200 for my family of 7 and they even asked the money for a packaging. So for me it was a quite bad experience to be there in Kasturi restaurant even they are telling themselves as Dhaka Bengali but they are not serving items like tehari which is one of the most famous dish of Dhakai Bengali food

If you trust me, Go blindly for it. Then come back and rate my review. Everything is so tasty that I honestly got hallucinated when I took my first bite 😁. Trust me. Singri kochu patta, ilish bhapa are standout. Chicken is so tender. Pulao is great. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good but not the best. We went for dinner. The quantity of food is fine but they have limited options somedays. We order bhat dal aloo vaji which is ok. The quantity of rice per plate is adequate. We order panner curry which is not up to the mark. It's situated on the 3rd floor. Just ask someone nearby the area from where you will get inside. We are new to Guwahati so we struggle a bit to figure out the way to the restaurant.

I have mixed opinion about the restaurant. I would like to mention in points for making it easier to understand: 1. The ambience is satisfactory but cannot say it is too good. 2. The food is tasty but bit overpriced. Apart from that the quantity is also not sufficient enough. 3. The fish pieces were very small. 4. But the service is overall good. 5. I would not recommend you if you want to eat stomach full with cheaper rate.

Had a mixed experience out here. Had the veg thali, malai prawn curry and chicken. Prawn malai curry was good. Veg thali had few items but not that worthy of the price that is charged. Chicken quantity was very less. Service and welcoming is good and the staff is very helpful. I found it a bit over priced, taste i would think it to be around 6-7 out of 10. Loved the Gulab jamun.

One of the best restaurant to have bengali cuisine. I visited this place specially to have bhetki fish. The cutlet was awsm.. crispy and very moist 😋 The aam panna was refreshing. Would like to visit again for an entire bengali meal. The items are abit pricy in comparison to the quantity served
