Today I renewed my car RC within less than 1 hour, excellent service. Right from the enquiry, the women at the enquiry told where to go, first pay the fees, bring Original RC, PUC and Insurance upto date. There was hardly any people in the counter. The person in the counter checked the documents, wrote in the sheet, went to MVI, then a person checked the vehicle, pencil shading of the Chassis was done, then again went to MVI, then again beside the MVI room, then to the Counter. All done within less than 45 mins. Came back home downladed the RC

Today, I visited the District Transport Office, Kamrup Metro, to get my RC renewed. All the work from start to finish was completed within 45 minutes. I found all the officers very professional. I was very pleased with the experience.

Location : 4P7J+5H6 Pakhi, NH Byepass, Betkuchi, AHOM GAON, Guwahati, Assam 781040 I am writing to formally bring to your attention the unprofessional behavior, mismanagement, and complete lack of responsibility I experienced at the RTO office on 1st September while trying to transfer the RC of a vehicle I recently purchased. As per the process, I was asked to collect and submit several documents including Aadhaar and other applications. I arranged all the required documents and submitted them at Counter No. 9 on the First Floor around 10:00 AM. After completing this, I was told to approach the Head Officer for a signature. However, when I went there, I was informed that the process is completely online and cannot be done at the office. I was sent away without any proper assistance. I went back to the mam at Counter No. 9 and asked why I was made to collect and submit so many documents and write applications if the process was to be done online. Unfortunately, I received no response. Instead, I was made to run around the office for nearly three hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM), wasting my entire time, only to be told in the end that my work would not be processed there. The behavior of the staff was extremely rude and careless. Most of the time they appeared busy on their phones rather than attending to the public. It was very disheartening to see that government employees, who are entrusted with public service, were neglecting their duties and showing no respect for citizens’ time or effort. This entire experience has not only wasted my valuable time but also caused me unnecessary mental stress. I had taken leave from work to complete this process, only to face complete mismanagement and harassment at the office. I respectfully request that strict action be taken against the concerned staff at Counter No. 9 (First Floor) for their negligence and misconduct, and that clear instructions be given so that citizens are not unnecessarily misled and harassed in the future. If the process is entirely online, it should be communicated at the very beginning instead of wasting people’s time. I hope my complaint will be taken seriously and prompt corrective measures will be implemented.

I applied for my learner licence online and paid ₹200. After booking the test and going to the DTO office, I was informed that the application had to be done again from their system, which cost ₹800. It was a bit confusing and disappointing, especially since the earlier amount wasn’t adjusted or refunded. It would really help if the process was made clearer from the beginning, so people don’t face unnecessary confusion or extra payments.

It's a place to apply driving license and to put new number plates and various other things related to vehicle. Also noticed one thing that everyone here expects money directly or indirectly and it depends how do you react to it.One best suggestion is reach here early morning...do all the properly- have all the documents ready and do not get agent! I heard that it is one of the most corrupted place!

The district transport office is situated on the bypass highway. The premises is centrally situated. The tests are conducted in the early morning at around 8 am. Please carry proper documentation for the test. Rest we all know how a district transport office works.

All the pics which i have uploaded will help you to clear your learners test. No doubt the facility and process in the DTO has improved a lot in comparison to past 5 years. But still for public, process can be more smooth with proper guidance from the working staff. Again this wilp be much more to expect from a government office.

Visited DTO Kamrup today to change my mobile number two wheeler. The process is so seamless. All you need is: 1. An application for change of Mobil number 2. Photocopy of your RC 3. Mobile number proof ( Mobile Bill, Bank passbook with Mobile number updated, DL with updated mobile number etc). That's all you need to visit the MVI with all three in the first floor and then after verification by MVI give it to counter number 7. Within one hour mobile number is changed. The staff members are very cooperative to guide in every step.
