GUWAHATI GPO (MEGHDOOT BHAWAN)

The oldest and most busiest Post office Guwahati. It is located at Kachari, Pan Bazaar, Guwahati, Assam 781001. Lunch time is 1.30pm to 2pm but the staff are not available on time. Be ready to stand in queue with some extra time in hand while visiting this place & carry some food so you don't get hungry😅. Every time I visit there found full of rush. The staff are not so active but hopefully the things are done.

Very poor staff behavior! They are literally disgusting people,they are rude and not explained enough ,disappointed my family .. we correct the form 4 times and they are literally harassing the old people (my nana nani )just rude i dont have any single word to explain just choose other option or center

Pathetic service. Staff have attitude and don't respect customers. One person went to a counter and asked the staff if that counter is for speed post and the way the staff replied was very very bad. The look the staff gave was like someone was asking for his kidney. However, there is one staff who seemed energetic and efficient. But rest of them do not care, they are very slow and if you ask question they will reply rudely. The administration should replace the slow staff from the counter and put them in other work. Please let the energetic staff work at the front end. It took approx 1 hour to speed post today. Parking is a big big problem. It is not allowed inside

Parcel was about to deliver get delivered yesterday on 16th Feb but was cancelled, as updated it was again attempted to deliver today on 17th but no update till now. It's peak level of frustration when I waited for 11 weeks for my order to reach Guwahati, from Amritsar Punjab.

Worst service, my parcel reached to the nearest post office to me(Rangia) but it got redirected stating :missent redirecting to Guwahati G.P.O. Its been 12 days already that my parcel was sent from Patiala, Punjab. Its so fustrating.

The contact number is showing switched off.3rd class service by the assam post office services. no call no sms they just returned your parcel to the sender without any information

This is the main Post office at Guwahati. All postal services are avilable here like parcel, speed post, banking etc. You need to give your details at the entrance before entering. No place for parking there. One thing I am sad that there are no sign boards at the counters. It creates a lots of tension. There are only counter numbers not what it for. Please do it
