Head Post Office, Jorhat

Today I went to the Jorhat post office to activate ATM card in my father’s name. My father is a retired senior citizen and is unable to visit office in person. However, the staff refused to process the request and kept asking why he couldn’t come and what illness he has. There should some basic respect and consideration for senior citizens. People working in public service are meant to assist citizens, not question them in disrespectful manner. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and cannot be justified. Government should ensure stricter guidelines and better conduct when dealing with the public. This is disgusting.

I am reporting a significant delay at the Jorhat Head Post Office today, January 8, 2026. Despite a scheduled opening time of 10:00 AM, the doors remain locked as of 10:09 AM. This is particularly concerning as many citizens, including myself, have strict appointments scheduled for 10:00 AM. If the Head Post Office cannot maintain its operating hours, it raises serious concerns about the management of local branches.

Very poor service.. After 12 days not found my speed post.. other devices you understand..

Worst Experience! They didn't delivered the parcel at time. They take 5 days from Jorhat to Nakachari whenever the distance is only 45minutes. Speed post service is worst . While I raised a complaint against the article then that day I received my parcel .

The worst post office ever expect for one person who was wonderful. I was selected to go abroad and was waiting for my passport which had reached the post office and still they don't want to open. They said it didn't come yet. The most negligent, lazy and worst people ever. Now, my job application has been on stand for around 4 days and not yet dispatched. Well they are playing with people's lives.

Agressive manner of staff also rude , full of attitude Etc......

They don't value people's time. Important articles keep lying there for days, they don't process the item on time. Very incompetent and unprofessional people doesn't deserve to be govt servants spoiling the name of India Post. It is an utmost request to Indiapost please look into these staff carefully.

It's showing in your timeline duty hours 10 am to 5 pm .but counter staff denied to receive my RD deposit at 3: 29 pm ..even there I was the single customer...so it's meant lot to everyone...
