Went there for week-long training. Lab staff, whom we met, are hard working and knowledgeable. Realised that only their work won't help curb pollution until we, the citizens, don't do our bit for the environment.

There's a prevalent problem in Guwahati where consumers are bound to buy 500ml bottled water in the restaurants. Numerous hotels, sweet shop, restaurant, coffee shops, and dessert outlets in Guwahati are declining to offer standard drinking water to patrons. Despite Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma's recent statements about an impending ban, the bottles are still being sold without visible enforcement. While I acknowledge your expertise at the Pollution Control Board, it's disheartening that no corrective measures have been taken despite my previous complaint and the Chief Minister's statements. Attached are photos showing drain clogs from these bottles, causing environmental hazards and flooding. I urge prompt action against the offenders, non-compliant food establishments. I trust you'll address this urgently, expecting swift and effective action.

The PCB is very active in Guwahati. I gave a complain regarding sound pollution via mail. The board called me and come to my house for investigation. I found the employees very good and professional. They tested the noise pollution and gave the grill and welding shop tips to solve the problem. Thank you PCB
