Narangi

Narangi, Guwahati is a well-developing and busy area with good connectivity to major parts of the city. Narangi- a small quiet neighbourhood on the eastern extremeties of Guwahati (and the place where my Father decided to build his future abode way back in the year 1978)- has an interesting history. The Narangi Railway Station (see image) was built during the Second World War . British troops used to get down at this Station and proceed to the Army Cantonment in southern Narangi. Upon arrival in the Cantonment, the soldiers were pleased to find an orange garden in the vicinity (a place called Kamala Bagan on the VIP Road connecting Narangi to Six Mile bears testimony to this statement) The sweet succulent oranges gave our locality its present name (Narangi means Orange in Hindi). Fast forward to 2020, and Narangi, although small, is definitely not quiet any more. Do ask your elders about the history of your respective localities. It will be a fun (and an immensely fulfilling) exercise! Narangi tinali and Street CHAI Adda : The Cafe Location : Ramesh Tiniali, Narangi-Chandrapur Road. Nice place and the station was very clean and wellmaintained. This is very old station and it is located in near the hill side of ASEB and near this station there was a very big vegetables market. People stay near this station come for walk in the morning time.In this area we can see normal traffic and ur surrounded by big vegetables market

The place is suitable for all kinds of vegetables mainly found in northeast India and non veg items

Small station not available Water facility..

Best place in guwahati by far to stay. Not much crowdy or chaotic. Everything is available you don't need to go paltan bazar. Clean air. Less polluted. No floods during rainy season. Air quality much better than other parts of guwahati. Lots of greenery sorrounder by hills.
