Sunset view is breathtaking from this location. Morning and evening hours are crowded with people coming to and from North Gauhati or northern bank of Brahmaputra to main part of Gauhati. A bit filthy and not properly maintained.

Amazing place for outings with family or friends..very economic price 10 rupes per person (one-sided) Great grand salute for assam government to Inland water amusement. We can visit A holy temple of umananda through water.

*Price is ok(20 rs for up & down)-Umananda *Time:-10:30am-4pm *Lack safety measures *Cleanliness is a issue *There should be more boats coz it gets crowded very often But I appreciate Assam government for providing such service...

The last ferry from the north bank to guwahati metro is a joy to cherish. From the serene riverbank of north guwahati to the hustle bustle of guwahati city; the last ferry from kuruwa made me realise about possibilities. The sunset, the cityscape otherwise familiar and boring seemed so enchanting. The sound of waves crushing on the wooden hull of the boat, the blowing wind, the setting sun in the distant horizon... It was like a melancholic song. A break from the hectic schedule is necessary to keep ourselves kicking and alive.
