You will be truly overwhelmed while traveling by ferry. The natural beauty and scenic view of the sea gives a lot of pleasure. The ferry service is connecting Guwahati (near Pan bazar) to north Guwahati (near Aswaklanta Temple, MajGaon). People can take their bike, cycle etc. on the ferry. It costs Rs 3.0 per person to cross the river. To enter Guwahati city directly from north Guwahati, this is the best route. Many people use this ferry service for their daily commute and office work.

At a very nominal rate of Rs. 7 per head one can travel from Guwahati to North Guwahati and also enjoy the aesthetic beauty of the Mighty Brahmaputra. Private players of small country boats have been stopped ferrying from this ghat. RoPax ferry/vessels are operated here will all amenities and security measures for passengers. The vessels are timely operated. Tickets are to be booked right there at designated counter. Along with North Guwahati, ferry service to Rajaduar, Maidamkhanda aru also provided here. Various holy temples and archaeological sites are located in North Guwahati which are made easily accessible from this ghat.

Great work from the State govt. Inland water transport department for running this ferry service for the public. It's a novice and sincere effort from the govt to run this transport service in such extreme Low fair rates for the public. The ferry can take you to and fro from Guwahati city to North Guwahati bank which are at three different locations viz MaZgaoN, Madhyamkhanda and Rajaduwar starting from 8am to 8pm. The ferry crosses the river Brahmaputra in around 15minutes and you would be on the other side of the bank whereas it takes almost 1hour by road. Thanks to the whole team of Inland water transport dept. Great work, keep it up.
