One of the best peaceful places in North Guwahati. The temple here is really good and not crowded like other temples, so you can pray calmly without any disturbance. The surrounding area is also very beautiful and full of nature. You can reach this place by taking a ferry, which costs just ₹5 per person.

This is one of the oldest Vishnu temples in North Guwahati. There’s a lot of structured development around the place. You get an amazing view of the Brahmaputra and it looks even more beautiful at the hours of sunrise and sunset!

Peaceful place with calming vibes. Visited Ashwakanta Temple recently—super quiet and refreshing, especially in the early morning. The air feels fresh and it’s a perfect time to sit for a while or just clear your mind. Not too crowded either. Nighttime is calm too, but mornings hit different with that soft sunlight and river breeze. Tip: Try going before 9 AM for the best experience. Peaceful place with positive vibes. Loved the calm atmosphere at Ashwakanta Temple. Not too crowded, well-maintained, and perfect if you’re looking to clear your head. The view near the river adds a nice touch. Felt really good being there.

It is a delightful temple of bhagwan Vishnu. The vigrah is on black stone tablet where sheshashayee Vishnu along with other gods is engraved. The temple is small but has pleasing vibes. The chief priest is very polite and noble. There is beautiful view of Brahmaputra and Guwahati from this temple. The temple is well maintained and is under ASI.

Very calm place on the vicinity of Guwahati. This place can easily be accessed via river ferry. The temple feels atleast 200 years old. There are beautiful carvings on the temple's walls. Moreover, you can enjoy the majestic view of River Brahmaputra, away from the hustle of the city. The calmness and the wind breezing through you will put your mind at ease.

A beautiful temple of the Ahom era, this Krishna Temple is a must visit for people who are touring the Northeast and starting their journey from Guwahati. The carvings are very interesting and intricate and they offer a fantastic insight into the abilities of the Ahoms. This place has retained a lot of its original glory as it is an Archaeological site, hence it hasn't been encroached by modern elements. Please be advised that the stone steps leading to the temple are very uneven and are a potential hazard during rainfall, when the stone becomes slippery.

A very beautiful and historical significant temple and an archeological site. This is located on the top of a mountain overlooking the great Nad Brahmaputra. Visit for a serene and peaceful experience. You can reach this place via car or bike; public transportation is also available up to some extent.

It is a very nice Vishnu temple on the river bank of Brahmaputra. It is a very old temple near Rajaduar Ghat. There are a lot of Gulanch trees surrounding the temple. There are many goats grazing around the temple. There is a Brahmakunda ghat where pindos or asthis can be floated away here. The Brahmaputra is believed to be as sacred as the river Ganga. This place is behind the Sree Ganesh temple. on the hill top there is Bishnupad where feet of Lord Vishnu are kept. One should visit this Shri Shri Aswaklanta Temple atleast once a year. For devotees who want to spend more time exploring this area, there are accomodation facility as well in the temple premises itself with a minimal rent.
