It’s a boon to have state bus service just next to railway station. Food and local shopping is an added advantage. The best part is the bus service to Guwahati airport. But they should introduce or update their online ticket booking and information services for ease of travellers. I got nearly stranded as I reached on Friday and was told that they don’t operate on that day for airport.

It's been the worst experience with the assam state transport which is known as electric green bus bearing no AS 20 2754 the conductor talk rudely not knowing how to speak & adress to a women & even charging for your luggage which u carry along, such a foolish, cunning person I have ever met

It has been 11 years (since 2011) my parents were almost reliable on the ASTC (Tinsukia-Guwahati) buses specially the morning one for sending me alone is Guwahati. But recently I felt like the services of ASTC #non-ac are gone to the dogs. Just recently I have travelled with ASTC bus no (AS 20 1592) non-ac on May 28th 2022. Ofcourse I had so many stuffs since I was relocating but the handyman and the ticket collector were so rude instead of helping me they were demanding money for the extra luggages (not more than 4kgs). While traveling in a morning bus usually it gets dark till we reach Tinsukia. I got so scared because they were almost demanding me money in between. My question to the respective department is Does #ASTC Transport Service know that they carry extra person while traveling (during the covid protocol and after)? Does #ASTC Transport Service pay their employees? Otherwise what is the point of demanding money to their passengers in an illicit manner.

Shuttle AC bus service to Airport is available. The ticket price is only Rs 100, cheap rate compared to ola and uber. But the area is dirty, no proper waiting room.
