ASTC Bus Stand

Not too well organised bus stand. Situated just 2 min walking from guwahati railway station. You can get buses for shillong and various areas of the North East from this stand. We booked a bus to shillong which cost 200+ each. Their service is really good. On time and no delay. Booking from redbus is also available.

It is the centre place for all kinds of astc transportation to Guwahati. They have many buses which ply to different parts of Assam. Also they provide volvo bus service from here to the airport at affordable rates. The place is huge and spacious. A free of cost restroom cum waiting hall is available for travellers. Also there are ticket counters for direct ticketing facility from Guwahati to other parts of the state. In addition there is an ASTC canteen for having food and some other small shops for edibles particularly snacks and lunch. Drinking water facility is provided here along with pay and use toilets.

Reasonable prices with comfortable journey.. The busses have wide and spacious seats which are not conjusted at all like the other busses.. Also they have a big hall rest room provided with television , drinking water , fans and other services.. There are different ticket counters for busses according the routes.. Also they have multi parking systems for cars , busses, and motor cycles for both private and government vehicles.. Small eateries are there inside the campus which serves the hunger purpose for the travellers..

Astc has started new Volvo bus between guwahati to shilong. And shilong to guwahati. Bus timing from guwahati is @9am from shilong it departs @3pm. The bus has DVD player and charging spot is provided for each seat.

Airport bus service is now available at this centre - at a revised rate of Rs 90/-. They send you a m-ticket to your mobile number along with the printed ticket.
