Deepor Lake

Every time I go out there I discover the place with new looks. I like to enjoy the place at afternoon when trains passes with whistle, fisherman fishing deep into the lake on boats. An amazing place always attracts people specially me. Also an amazing place for PICNIC.

Such a beautiful place with all those greenery! The perfect place to go and sit there to listen the birds and feels the cool breeze! Forever favorite ♥️

The place/spot where the marker is placed on, is short cut through the railway tracks, through the railway bridge on foot towards Deepor Beel. And yeah before reaching this exact point you have to go through one of Guwahati's Garbage Disposal Point. Enjoy your walk.

Been visiting the place since Childhood. Glad that Guwahati has had such a place to just go and relax for a few minutes. I hope that authorities maintain the lake properly for the future.

A great place for a morning or evening rides, you can find fresh fish early in the morning. It has many roadside stalls which serve delicious, cheap snacks and tea. A perfect getaway spot for the residents of Guwahati

Incresing Pollution is the main threat to this Lake. If you want to see birds come early morning between November to March

Nice place to get a glimpse of some migrating birds, specially during winters. Either after sunrise or before sunset is the best time of the day to visit.

Okay okay place. Not so good during the month of February. Lake is full of algae and bird less during this time of year. Can be visited in a better month.
