Transit Backpacker Hostel

Extremely comfortable guesthouse with big, spacious dorm rooms, hot water, excellent WiFi, a kitchen that guests can use (drinking water available) and self-laundry service. There are a number of balconies for some fresh air, an open plan common area and the area itself is ideal. Lots of cheap places to eat, fruit and veg stands and local supermarkets to buy fresh ingredients to cook etc. The 34 bus travels form the station to outside the hostel. We felt like home thanks to the lovely family and manager who made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible (provided extra sheets, extra plugs board, refillable water bottles etc). We plan to return very soon. Also, fantastic rates per bed! Cheapest and best guesthouse in Guwahati.

As I write, it's been a great 2 days of stay here so far. A deal for the price offered with uncompromised facilities. The locality is wonderful with Central mall, City centre, Guwahati Zoo,eateries, and shops of all kinds available nearby within a radius of 1km. To describe the place: 1)A common kitchen to do self cooking. 2)A main balcony with an amazing view. 3)The rooms with bunker beds or single cots. 4)The hall with board games to entertain,a Dart board, a bean bag to lay yourself on and a PC with internet connectivity. The permanant people here: 1)the manager, a great chap who ensures that all your needs are met; and 2)The host and his family comprising his wife and cute little daughter who are extremely accommodating. There are not much or I'd rather no restrictions of any sort. People come here as repeat guests and that in itself testifies the worth of this place. Would I recommend this place: Of course it's a Yes.

I stayed here for one week and it was the best hostel since two months in india. The place is silent, clean, modern and has WLAN (sometimes a little slow), warm water (sometimes not) and a good conmection to the city. Also the price is fair. The family who runs the hostel is very open and will help you in every situation.

A clean and pleasant place to go to. Especially after traveling the sisters. Tge area is very nice and the family here is very kind and caring. Hope you'll enjoy as much as i did.

Very nice clean and comfortable hostel,quiet location,stuff is very friendly and helpful to any information for North east India. I stay twice and i will be back again someday.
