🚨 My Experience with Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd. A Warning to Others 🚨 When I purchased my policy from Universal Sompo General Insurance, I was assured that by taking the Depreciation Add-on Plan, my car would have complete bumper-to-bumper coverage and that I would not have to pay anything extra under the coverage value. However, when I filed a claim, the reality was very different: • Total Claim Value: ₹45,690 • Amount Credited: ₹30,374 • Difference: ₹15,690 Now the big question – who will pay this difference? The company’s explanation: “This was deducted because of GST and Addion Repair for bumper.” But why should I, as a customer, pay this extra amount when the policy was sold with the assurance of full coverage? If there is a GST component, shouldn’t the insurer settle it directly with the workshop/company instead of burdening the customer? This experience feels misleading and unfair. I have been left with unnecessary financial stress despite paying extra for add-ons that were supposed to protect me from exactly this kind of situation. 👉 My advice: Think twice before buying a policy from Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd. General Insurance. 👉 I am also preparing to take legal action regarding this matter. Transparency and trust are the foundation of insurance. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
