🌸Peaceful and Divine Experience✨ I recently visited this temple and had a truly peaceful experience. The atmosphere is very calm and spiritually uplifting. The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, and the architecture is beautiful. The sound of bells and chanting creates a divine feeling that instantly relaxes the mind. The priests are polite and helpful, and the darshan process is well-organized. It’s a perfect place to find inner peace, pray sincerely, and spend some quiet time away from daily stress. I would definitely recommend visiting this temple with family and friends. A truly blessed and positive experience. 🙏✨

A very peaceful and spiritually enriching place to visit in Guwahati. Basista Temple has a beautiful natural setting with flowing water and lush greenery around, which makes the whole atmosphere very calming. The temple holds great historical and mythological importance, and the architecture also gives a glimpse of ancient Assam. Along with the main Shiva temple, don’t forget to visit the nearby Ganesh temple, which is also very sacred and worth exploring. One small caution: beware of monkeys in the premises — they can sometimes snatch prasad or belongings, so keep your bags and food items secure. Overall, a wonderful spot for worship, meditation, and spending some peaceful time close to nature. Highly recommend visiting 🙏

The scenery and small waterfall make this peaceful and satisfying for anyone. Besides worshipping gods, you find a whole new calmness experience. A must-visit for spiritual practice and a simple outing with loved ones. Beware: Monkeys are naughty and don't stare them too much, otherwise you will face the consequences. You can feed if possible. -2 stars: No cleanliness at all, I saw empty water bottles on the waterfall, tobacco packets and the smell of animal poops. And the pandits change their behaviour and attitude based on how much money you donated to them. Literally, all the pandits take donations separately; if you give a Rs. 10 donation, you get a tilak, but if you give a Rs. 100 donation, then you will get prasad, a tilak, flowers, aashirvaad and a positive attitude from the pandits. My recommendation would be to have fun at the waterfall, pray to the Lord, and use the money to feed the animals near the temple.

This is a nice temple. You can see the Vasistha Sheela on which Rishi meditated. There is a stream flowing behind the temple which gives a peaceful effect if you sit & meditate on those rocks. But the reason I have deducted stars is for not maintaining the place properly. You can find garbage at any places. Stinky smell of urine can be smelt on the way to the temple.

The place is close to nature. Situated at a place easily reachable by Road. City buses are frequently available from all corners of Guwahati. Or one can directly book a cab or Auto.

Basistha temple is very fine and clam. Natural vibe is fine. The temple architecture of the Basistha is quite unique. However this temple premises is not so much clean. It is necessary to focus on more maintenance.

Nestled at the foot of the Sandhyachal hills, this serene temple offers a unique blend of Vedic legend and Ahom-era architecture. The peaceful atmosphere, enhanced by the sound of gushing mountain streams, makes it an ideal retreat for those seeking spiritual solace and quiet reflection.
