Khanapara Post Office

There is worst post office I have seen in our country, my medicine get ordered 17th of December 2025 and till 1st January 2026 but not delivered speed post medicines, and I have check status they show delivered the parcel before 2 days. I hate these services of post office.

This is by far the worst post office I have dealt with. I have been a resident under this post office’s jurisdiction for over 30 years, and almost every time I receive mail or a package, I face unnecessary issues with the postmen. Many times they simply mark items as “delivered” without even attempting delivery. Today, the new postman (who introduced himself as Pankaj Sharma) crossed all limits of unprofessionalism. He could not locate my house and, instead of calling me, went to a completely different address with a similar house number. Only after being told he was at the wrong place did he finally call me — and spoke in a very rude manner. He questioned me as if I were a new tenant, even asking whether the house I live in actually belongs to me. He then argued that I had written the wrong address and told me to collect the parcel myself from the post office. When I clarified that I have been living at this same address for decades and all my mail has always come through the Khanapara Post Office, he reluctantly agreed to come — but still delivered the package with a very unpleasant and disrespectful attitude. Unfortunately, this has not been an isolated incident. In my experience, most postmen from this office are careless, avoid their duties, and show no sense of responsibility toward residents. This has caused me repeated problems over the years. I am writing this review not only to inform others about the poor service but also in the hope that higher authorities within the postal department take note and take corrective action against such officials.

This post office is really good when it comes to the number of people standing in the que. If you go to other post office of Guwahati like Meghdoot in paan bazar you have to spend several of hours just to send one letter but you can go to this place little bit late like 12:45 pm when you will find very less people. Also ideal morning time is just go to 9 AM but you have to wait till 10 AM bcz the person responsible for parcel and speed post only at 10 AM.

I have been waiting for a very important parcel,they have shown attempted delivery 2 days but the parcel has not reach me yet, when I checked the status on indiapost website, it has been updated as door locked, addressee absent, all sorts of utter nonsense and lies. This Post office employees are so nonsense and irresponsible. They have no sense of accountability towards public.

I don't know, How and why are they even running this office, all no.s are kept engaged, it taking more than a week for them to deliver the speed post.!!! Government should take strict action asap. I know India post never gave a good service, but it's. 2024 they're still running in a speed of 90s, please we expect better

Khanapara Post office a sub post office.... All kinds of percel delivery here... New Rule- We have to cover the percel with white clothes...(if Percel size is big) Office is situated in campus of Veterinary Science..

I've provided my complete details but my parcel wasn't delivered saying it has an incomplete address.... the worst post office literally.. I've tried contacting them but the phone number is also not valid i still haven't received any parcel nor any call from delivery agent or from the Khanapara Post office itselfWorst post office...they don't even call me and say they call me but not respond and my product was send back to other post office. I got sms that ur products could not delivered due to insufficient address. When I came to pick my product in their office they didnt allow me they they ll send tho other post office and from there they ll delivered. But still I'm waiting...if the stuff inside gone damage means no use of receiving... worst than worst post office. Atleast they should know the meaning of speed post.doesn't even send confirmation messages. 27/4/24 my parcel reached post office but they not call me not even any update directly send back to delhi same day evng...!
