just come back from there. we had gone to the book fair and needed a cup of tea/coffee badly. I had some foreigner friends with me, hence I decided to take them to makhanbhog. we ordered coffee and some food. after some time we were told that they had run out of the ready made coffee mix, so they could not provide coffee! well, we ordered tea, but then they said since they use ready made tea mix powder, they could not give us tea without sugar! The foreigners had to settle for fresh lime soda. And the tea when it came was like warm and most unlike the lovely chai one gets in almost every North Indian household. For a restaurant that boasts of South Indian cuisine, makes good food and has an extensive menu why could they not provide good south indian filter coffee to their customers as well? And since they also have an even longer North Indian snacks and food menu, could those accomplished cooks notcope with making fresh masala tea or lemon tea for their customers? Ready made tea and coffee out of instant mixes in a restaurant that claims to maintain high standards is a huge pity and a real shame.... I will think twice about visiting that place again. to sum up, go there for a quick snack, but don't expect good tea and coffee to be served with it....

I have visited this restaurant few times earlier also. I found it better that time. But this time I am completely disappointed. I wanted to order milkshake for my kid but it was not available. Then I asked for ice cream, it was also not available (considering the warm temperatures these days in Guwahati it should have been available). Finally we ordered three cups of coffee. They could only serve two cups. Just imagine a restaurant of this level of reputation can't serve its customer three cups of coffee, that too in the noon. Why include items in the menu if you can't serve? And they don't have parking, even though the building has some parking space the security denies parking for the dine-in customers. You will face lot of difficulty finding a parking space by the main road

Firstly let's talk about the service. The staffs were so polite and well mannered. They brings your food very quickly and the atmosphere there was so quiet and decent. The interior was very elegant and beautiful. Now let's talk about food. The food was very delicious, the quantity was more than enough, the quality, the hygiene was very remarkable. They just made my day wonderful.

Unexpected...Food has been degraded to a lot extend. The bread 🍞 which I have shared in pics was inedible and stinky. However before writing this review, I called & informed them . They were unapologetic and cares less . Once a pioneer now serves waste food. This is sad, not for us customers but for them as we have better options.

Just wanted to share a food spot with you. It's a cool veg place. Their sweets are a hit. And they have top-notch snacks, cookies, and all, this is your spot. They've got a variety of dry snacks and chocolates. The sweets, especially the Rasgulle, are our go-to. Plus, it's all hygienic. They even make hampers for occasions. You can customize them too. I would recommend you to visit here…✨

The place offers a wide variety of of sweets and also options for lunch ( north indian which are available only at a specified time ) and south indian food like varieties of dosa and idli and few Chinese items as well . The price is on the higher side and for some items the portion seems to little in comparison to the price. The service is average but the ambiance is good. We ordered paneer dosa (190 rs) and raj kachori ( rs 140) which tasted really well . They were worth the price. The sweets here are awesome . Please do try the mathura peda and milk cake here .

Makhan Bhog is my ultimate go-to place whenever I crave authentic vegetarian food, and it never disappoints. Their malai kofta paired with butter naan is simply heavenly. While the food is undeniably outstanding, I must mention a couple of things to consider. Firstly, the service can be a bit slow at times. Secondly, if you're dining in, avoid taking a seat next to the toilet as it smells really bad. Opt for a seat farther away for a more comfortable dining experience. Lastly, if you're looking for authentic vegetarian dishes, this is the place to be.
