Kamakhya Junction is one of the best and well-managed railway stations in the Northeast. The station is clean, spacious, and well-organized with good facilities for passengers. Waiting halls, ticket counters and platforms are maintained nicely, and the station staff is generally helpful. Connectivity is excellent with trains available to major cities across India, making it a very convenient station for travelers. The location is also great — close to the famous Kamakhya Temple and the city. There are enough food stalls, tea shops, and basic amenities available, which makes waiting comfortable. Security presence is visible and announcements are clear, so navigation becomes easy even for first-time visitors. Overall, Kamakhya Junction offers a smooth travel experience with cleanliness, good connectivity, and a pleasant atmosphere. A reliable and important gateway to Guwahati and the entire Northeast. Highly recommended station for travelers passing through Assam

Kamakhya Junction is a major railway station in Guwahati, Assam, known for being the gateway to the sacred Kamakhya Temple. It is the second-largest station in Guwahati after the main Guwahati Railway Station and is crucial for connecting the region to the rest of India for both tourists and residents. The junction is located in the Maligaon area of Guwahati and serves as a transportation hub, with amenities like baggage storage, restrooms, and 24-hour transit.

Neat , Clean and spacious railway station. But connectivity from Highway is still bad. I request from the concerned officer to add pedestrian connecting KYQ

We were returning from Guwahati after witnessing Bihu festival, going to Howrah by Ssaraighat express. I did travel blog for entire journey and specially those time whenever our train was crossing any river. Our train had a stop at Kamakhya junction, the hill where Kamakhya temple is present is properly visible from station, one can get any options to reach Kamakhya Temple from here.

Well maintained near and clean station. Both the normal stairs and escalator are present in the station. Food stalls are there also. Outside the station gate one can find app based cabs. They have a proper queuing system for cabs.Small railway station with very basic and limited amenities The station is situated within the city. Long route trains are available all over the country

Totally poor administration lot's of baggers , local vendors,, general public on first class and other a/c coach. Platform coach display board showing totally different from actual coach position. I think no interest anyone railway officers are changing or improving system and used facility have already installed.

Its a gateway to Guwahati city and the station near to Maa Kamakhya Temple and also near to Airport the station its getting new tracks and for people going for the first time in Guwahati and your last train stoppage is in Kamakhya you need to get out of the last platform not the 1st as the back side leads to Guwahati city and all transportation available from there and to save some money you can walk to the road and get a bus and where ever you wanna go in the city you will find bus services.
