Breathtaking Experience at the Highest View Point, Guwahati! If you're looking for a peaceful escape with a panoramic view of Guwahati, the Highest View Point is an absolute hidden gem! Just a short drive from the city, it’s surprisingly accessible and perfect for a quick nature getaway without needing to go too far. I visited recently and the trek was moderately easy—definitely manageable for beginners and casual hikers. It took about 30-40 minutes at a relaxed pace, and the trail was well-defined with some shaded parts and gentle inclines. No special gear is needed; just carry water, wear decent shoes, and you're good to go! Once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Guwahati— lush greenery, distant hills, and even parts of the urban skyline. If you time your visit during sunset or sunrise, the view becomes truly magical. The golden hues and soft breeze made the whole effort totally worth it. There weren’t many people when I visited, which added to the tranquility. It’s a perfect spot for photographers, couples, or solo travelers who just want to take a break from the city buzz. Pro Tips: • Go early morning or late afternoon for the best light. • Pack a snack or small picnic if you want to relax longer at the top. • Mobile network works fine there, but you won’t need it with views like that. Overall, it’s a place that deserves more attention and is a must-visit if you’re in Guwahati. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this view point is a refreshing experience that combines a bit of adventure with stunning natural beauty.

After a long hike that took almost an hour, the sight we saw was truly breathtaking. Situated at the top of the Hill, the spot is truly magnificient. The path to the site is mostly narrow and steep. The best time to go is during the morning. Don't go for hiking during the rainy season as the chances of slipping and falling is high.

the view is mesmerizing, morning or evening it doesn't matter.. it's beautiful anytime . The road to the top is a bit difficult but it's really worth it . don't worry its safe and you can go there yourself ... a small assam police and APRO camp is on the top so don'tworry . but remember 4:30 pm u need to leave the place .. In the morning we visited jojuwa waterfall in garbhanga reserve forest near basistha temple So we started the hastinapur track in the evening . we started at 3 pm . it tooks 1 hour+ to reach the top . u can see the sunset from the first view point . 2nd view point is at the top .( pro tip- bring momos + enough water if ur visiting for the sunset or if u r visiting in the morning bring tea and bread with egg ) one APRO constable said there are 3ways to go to the top . and one way to go down to asmall temple wich is situated in the middle 2pahar or mountain whatever . So go and enjoy and remember to keep it clean . hope this will help u🫡.. and if u didn't understand my English than it's ur problem im not a Grammer teacher ..

Best time to go is during shivratri. Went there when i was a kid. It's a road less taken so definitely go for it. And the view is just the cherry on top. Also sunrises and sunsets are out of this world but i won't recommend you going there after nightfall until and unless you're in a big group because it's a leopard bearing area so go at your own risk. Added adventure. XD

One of the highest peaks around Guwahati. It's right opposite BSNL wireless tower peak that you can spot on the other side of Amsing RF. The hike is a 1-hour steep climb, worth it 🙌
