Fantastic Way to Experience Kamakhya! I recommend Kamakhya, Prasenjit is knowledgeable and passionate about the temple's history and significance. He brings the stories alive and makes the visit so much more meaningful than just walking around on your own. A must-do if you're visiting Kamakhya!

This tour is the best way possible to have a quick visit to the Kamakhya Temple premises and to get to know the history of the temple and the significance of even the smallest things like the staircases and small temples within the premises. There also so many temples there, which I wouldn’t have otherwise seen honestly, but because of Prosenjit, of course, I got to know about them as well, and I am very grateful. One of the best experiences I have had, and I would recommend this to anyone who has about 2+ hours to spare, and wants to understand the temple and its history better. 💯

Niclachal Hill is full of amazing stories, and I wouldn’t have learned about them without Kamakhya Walks. I recently went on one of their walks, and it was such a unique and eye-opening experience. It’s way more than just visiting the temple without knowing anything—it’s about discovering the stories behind every staircase, temple, and piece of architecture. If you’re in Guwahati or planning a visit, don’t miss out on this with the Kamakhya Walks team - you won’t regret it. Every step is totally worth it.

We had planned a private walk with Prasenjit and team. It just so happened that the only time we had in Guwahati we had allocated for the walk, as we'd heard good things. Our luck, we couldn't go during the time, it was raining all day. Instead we approached Prasenjit if he could help us with our Kamakhya temple visit, and he connected us with a senior well renounced panda who very swiftly helped us with the Pooja procedures, we did not have to wait in the line for much time. Prasenjit our walk remains due, will catch up on our next visit.

I recently had the pleasure of joining one of the "Kamakhya Walks" organized by Prasenjit Sharma, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we started, it was clear that Prasenjit is deeply passionate about the history and culture of the temple and 'Nilachal Hills'. The walk was incredibly well-organized, with Prasenjit providing fascinating insights into the mythology and significance of each temple we visited. His storytelling skills brought the ancient legends to life, making the entire experience both educational and engaging. We explored around 10 historical temples, each with its own unique story and architectural beauty. Prasenjit’s knowledge and enthusiasm were truly infectious. He made sure to answer all our questions and even shared some lesser-known facts and anecdotes that added a special touch to the tour. His dedication to preserving and sharing the heritage of this sacred site is truly commendable. If you’re looking to explore Kamakhya in a meaningful and enriching way, I highly recommend joining one of Prasenjit Sharma’s Kamakhya Walks. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

It was a great experience and something very different from what I expected. Didn't know that a walking tour like this existed in Guwahati. A must do for every one. Prasenjit is a great storyteller and brings the place to life.

Prasenjit led us on a wonderful walking tour of Kamakhya Temple and the surrounding shrines. The experience was extremely informative and thoughtfully paced. He shared detailed explanations about the temple, its sculptures, rituals, and the traditions of Tantra, and his knowledge made the entire visit much richer than it would have been if we had explored on our own. One thing we especially appreciated was how considerate he was throughout the tour. My mother has arthritis and has difficulty walking. Prasenjit made sure to walk at a comfortable pace and was very attentive, ensuring she could participate as much as possible. Whenever needed, he helped find places where she could sit and rest so that she could still enjoy the experience. He guided us through the different temples in the complex and explained the history and significance of each one clearly and engagingly. Without his guidance, we would not have known where to go, what to look for, or how to understand what we were seeing. It was a truly special experience for our family. We learned a great deal and came away with a much deeper appreciation of Kamakhya and its traditions. Prasenjit is an excellent host and a very knowledgeable guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the temple.
