At Hostello, Meet Your Tribe isn’t just a tagline—it truly defines the place. I was here for two days and loved every bit of it. Great vibe, lovely place and a comfortable stay overall. Special shout-out to Biplob for being such a sweet and thoughtful person and for being just a call or text away for everything you could possibly need. :)

Hostello is located in the heart of the Guwahati city yet in a peaceful neighbourhood. The rooms and the common area are clean and vibrant. Helpful staff. The view from the hostel is amazing as it overlooks the Guwahati zoo. You can spot Ostrich, Emu and a few other animals from the terrace.

We booked for one night in november last year and when we went i was a girl with my brother and we were to attend a family wedding in Guwahati.. we went there and what we saw was terrible! There were whole guys and they were drinking & smoking openly! Weed, cigarettes & even alcohol in the hall way. As a girl i felt really really unsafe and when we asked him for a refund due to the unpleasant environment he said 'ab to aapne paise de diye hai ab aapko vapas to nai krenege'. We requested alot & he still denied and we were left to no place at 8:00 in night. The room was also very smelly and it was not at all hyegnic

Kalyan is a great host. It's a great place if you are looking for a cheaper stay option. Next to Guwahati Zoo. It's a place where you can easily hire scooty and chill with your friends and hostel people's company

A great advice to everyone who wants to stay here, unless and until you don’t smoke weed/cigarette or drink alcohol, don’t go there. Because as I entered the so called STAY there were all drunk guys (10-12) smoking weed and sitting there on a couch in Hall. After that the staff was so rude, they act like we haven’t paid for stay. Pathetic rooms and such a bad smell in washroom. It was so UNSAFE FOR GIRLS. And on the other hand the person who picks the call he is not even there because he stays somewhere else so there was all different drunk staff. And cherry on cake when i asked for refund they cut the call and stopped answering my calls. If you want a good hygienic stay with safe environment then please don’t go there, this is my friendly advice. Also the location is also not so good. So it’s upto you

This place has an incredible vibe! The hostel’s location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is exceptionally warm and helpful. A special thanks to Biplob and Kalyan for their wonderful hospitality and for making the place feel like home.

Best hostel I have stayed at in India, I have stayed in many different hostels and this is by far the best one, the staff are very kind, especially Biplop who took the time out of his day to take me to get my phone fixed and has been hospitable from the start! Very good for foreigners and solo travelers as they make it feel like home!!!

I had contacted a number listed for Ziro Festival camping and spoke to a person named Neep, who claimed to be the owner. He told me they needed people, but after making me wait a week saying he had to confirm with his “partner,” he came back saying all camping slots were full and instead offered me a volunteer role at their hostel with no pay. He asked me to come on 23rd September and stay till end of October. Based on his word, I booked my tickets to Guwahati. Since then, he has stopped answering my calls and only left a vague apology message. This is unprofessional and misleading. His behavior shows zero integrity and feels like a complete scam. Please be careful — this is not an authentic place. I'm not sure where to go now with the booked tickets. This is cheating and I'm reporting this to the meghalaya tourism and police station.
